When making toys the right side looks like this:
If there are no special notes, the toy is crocheted under
both parts of the loop. In some rows, there are special
notes: ‘into the front loop only’ or ‘into the back loop
only’. In such case, you need to follow these
instructions.

And the backside looks like this: Tip

If your wire for the frame is not white, you can wrap it
with plaster, so it will not show through the stuffing.

Use only copper wire with plastic covering for the frame
as copper can better stand bending compared to
aluminum.

Insert the frame into the body and the tail through the

Cut 2 pieces of wire 25 cm each (frame for the legs).

Mark both pieces: the 1st mark – at 1/3 of total length

2nd mark – at ¼ of the rest (25 – 8.3 = 16.7 : 4 =

Tightening

Challenge with the face is the ‘tightening’. There

should be enough of a bridge on the nose. Eye socket
should be big enough to allow eyes to sink in, if that
shaping isn’t correct it throws the whole face off. Take
the time to make sure the tightening are distinct enough
before continue.

Make eye sockets and brows on the head using

tightening. Pull out tapestry needle with strong thread
at the right side of the head (approx. at rnd 22) and
make tightening approx. 1 cm wide, pulling together
opposite sides of the head.

Make brows.

A hollow was formed at the top of the head between the

brows. The bank will be sewn here later.

Make a mold and cut out 2 parts for eyes using your
fabric. Tack the edges with strong thread of matching
color. Tighten the part a little bit and fasten the thread.

Cat’s eyes made of fleece and stuffed with holofiber.

Put eyes into the eye sockets and sew them carefully.
To calculate the size of eyes correctly you need to

Draw equilateral triangle with 3.75 cm sides on a piece

nose and pull it out from right eye. (counting from the narrow part of the nose) and pull it
out at the opposite side. Fasten with two stitches (see
pic). Sew the nose to the head with white thread
starting at 22nd round of the head.

You shall make only one stitch everywhere. To place

pupils a bit deeper, pull them together a little bit
through the bridge of the nose. Fasten off and weave in
loose ends.

Nose

Pink yarn
The yarn for the nose should be thinner than the yarn
for the body otherwise the nose will be too big.

Do it in different directions to make the cat fluffier.
Make tightenings for fingers and tows with pink yarn.
Tightening for the middle finger should be slightly
bigger than the two other.

Make whiskers
Option 1
Make whiskers with plain sewing thread or dental floss.

Option 2
Make whiskers out of fishing line.
Cut few pieces of fishing line.
If fishing line is hard: fold each piece in half, don’t
completely ‘thread’ in place, drop some superglue on
the fold and fasten at the cheeks.
If fishing line is flexible: fold each piece in half and
make a loop as shown in the pic.
