The usual strategies that I personally do while having my class includes the I do, We do, You do
strategy; Cooperative learning or groupwork and the formative assessment. I like to mix the class up
wherever possible. Pairing students of different abilities can offer dual benefits. More able students by
having to explain complex concepts and less able students have extra time to soak up the knowledge.
When you enter the room, the usual scenario is that learners are actively involve in their own
learning. As for the classroom itself, you would see learning centers, word walls, visible learning goals
and expectations, student binders and organization system.
I would be in the school 8 hours perhaps. But if I have to render more because of the service
that I have with the learners, I am willing to stay more than what is asked.
Aside from lecturing approach, I likewise make use of a learner-centered approach. Since we are
dealing with learners, the focus of instruction is from the teacher to the learners. This shift offers the
best experience for the learners, because it allows them to engage with the teacher, the content and
other learners.
When learners are engaged in literacy they are engaged in learning, but they are not prepared to
dive into the written word and immediately extract all of the valuable content. They need instructional
guidance on how to read critically, understand the material and implement what they have learned. As a
teacher, I can provide the necessary framework using concepts such as previewing text, reading with a
purpose, predicting and making connections and the use of graphic organizers.
6. The history and culture of NM is the most diverse and fascinating in the US. How will you adopt?
For me to adopt to the culture of NM, I should study and learn their culture. I should open my
mind and heart to new things.
As a Grade 2 teacher in Department of Education here in Philippines, the usual things that I do to
boost the morale of my learners is that I always give them a positive affirmation. Whenever they have
their outputs, I always make sure that it is rewarded.
For the seven years of teaching diverse learners. I can say that teaching is fun. Although it is
somewhat filled with challenges. But as you overcome those, you can actually feel growth in your career.
This is a plan or program developed to ensure that a child with an identified disability who is
attending an elementary or secondary educational institution receives specialized instruction and related
services.
In teaching science, I tend to teach them through hands-on experimentation and an integration
of other subjects into the science curriculum. Concepts should be broad enough to cover many areas of
science and include mathematics whenever possible.
12. How to deal with parents who are not supportive to the studies of their children?
Parents are important to the success of my students. I will make sure I maintain open
communication with them. I will listen to their concerns and I will try my best to address their concerns.
We will both come up with solutions at hand.
They are students who are unable to communicate fluently or learn effectively in English, who
often come from non-English-speaking homes and backgrounds, and who typically require specialized or
modified instruction in both the English language and in their academic courses.
Gamification tools like Kahoot!. This tools can be used to create quizzes, flashcards, and other
activities that students can complete individually or in groups. I also use Google Forms.
What are some challenges the staff has faced this year, within the school itself as well as within
the school district?
Good classroom management means having clear classroom procedures, expectations and
consequences and following it through. In my current teaching, I also make sure I include the parents.
Communicating with parents about students’ success and concerns is very important.
17. If one student doesn't follow your rule what will you do?
Having a diverse group of learners in our classroom, a teacher should acknowledge the
individual differences, which includes a student who continuously do not follow rules. A teacher should
spare time to talk to that learner and find out the very root cause of the problem or give him a separate
activity that he is more interested of doing to keep him busy. By that he is enjoying at the same time
learning takes place.
I will first look into their Individualized education program and look at their specific learning
needs. I will design lessons to address their individualized education plan goals and objectives. I will
monitor their progress by giving them assessments. I will use this strategy to ensure all learners’ need
are met.
21. How do you deal with students who can’t easily grasp the lesson?
I can give struggling learners’ alternate assignments to cope up with the other students.
My professional goal before includes receiving various professional development training and be
recognized and promoted to a higher position.
I use cooperative learning during partner reading. I will have learners read silently and then take
turns reading aloud. The listener can guide the reader when necessary.
Teacher collaboration provides fellow educators opportunities to meet, share insights, create
cohesive plans, and work together effectively.
My typical day in school includes lectures, plenty of learners’ activities and preparation of
lessons for the next days.
27. What is the importance of assessment? Describe what you mean student-centered instruction.
Assessment is a very important tool to determine students’ progress. This could be done through
formative, summative and performance assessment. Student centered instruction puts the student at
the center of the learning process and gives them a voice in what they are learning.
The teacher is more of a facilitator than a lecturer and in this learning environment allows students to be
more engaged in their education and take ownership of their learning.
My first station in Department of Education was in a far-flung area in Malabog, Davao City. The
learners there were from poor families. Some were hardly fed by their parents yet they strive hard to
continue their education.

30. How do you feel staying after school hours for school-related activities?
If I have to render after school hours for school-related activities, I am willing to stay more than
what is asked.
31. How do you communicate with the parents regarding their children's performance

capabilities and by employing a star reward system or giving praise to students for a job well done that
would boost their self-esteem.
35. If in teaching a concept 60% of the class got it and the 40% did not, what would you do?
I would employ differentiation strategy. I will give struggling learners simple activities that they
can easily comprehend while giving other students complex activities.
36. “How will you prepare your students for the PARCC test? How will you know if your students are
learning in your class?”
The best way to prepare way my students for the PARCC Test is through practicing their problem
solving and critical thinking ability. I would know that my students are learning my class if most my
students got high grades in their respective assessments.
37. What is the difference between formative & summative tests? How do we make use of these to your
improve students’ proficiency levels?
The formative assessment is conducted during the learning process. On the contrary, summative
assessment is undertaken only at the end of the course or unit. I will use these assessments to know
their progress and for me to know how to help them academically.

40: Why is small group differentiated instruction that is targeted to learning needs a more preferred
practice than whole group direct instruction?
The structure for small group provides more opportunities for differentiated instruction,
therefore offering numerous benefits to both students and teachers. For students, this can be a
confidence booster. During a whole-group lesson, some students may feel intimidated to share a thought
or ask a question. Small group can make students to feel at ease to participate. It also allows teachers to
observe and work with students closely.
A growth mindset is the understanding that we can develop our abilities and intelligence. It is
important because it will help you overcome what hinders you to success.
42. How do you develop growth mindset to anxious students in the class? These are the students who
are disengaged and aloof, quiet and not responsive to activities and instruction.

43. How will you ensure that the students with special needs in your class (caseload for SPED teachers)
are meeting their learning needs?
I try to get to know my students as well as possible so that I am aware of any barriers to their
learning. When teaching in a mixed-ability class it is important to push the top students and make sure
that the less able are not left behind. I incorporate different learning strategies such as cooperative
learning, small group instructions and center stations. These strategies can help me to ensure that
students with special needs are meeting their learning needs.
How will you know that what you are doing in class is working? How will you know if you need to shift
and change plans again?
. I would know that what I am doing in my class is working if my students are learning and most
of them got high grades in their respective assessments. As for the classroom management, if my class is
not unruly and everyone abides on the rules that is imposed. In an instance that it is happening the
opposite, I would be shifting to another plans.
45. Explain a time when you were challenged by a parent about her child's grade. How did you handle it?
The moment that I was challenged by a parent regarding the grades of her child, I listened to
that parent’s concern and addressed it in nice manner. We agreed and resolved it without having any
conflicts.
46. What are your three most important reasons for wanting to be a teacher?
1. for me to mold children to be a better version of themselves, not just academically, but
also their characteristic.
2. to witness how my students achieve their dreams and knowing that I am part of it makes
me proud of myself as well.
3. it is somewhat my calling, because I am brought to this noble profession and I love what
I am doing.
