All tenses in English language

1. Simple Present Tense:


- Used for actions happening in the present or habitual actions.

- Affirmative: Subject + Base Verb (+s/es for third-person singular)


- Negative: Subject + Do/Does + Not + Base Verb
- Interrogative: Do/Does + Subject + Base Verb?

- Example: "She walks to school every day."

2. Present Continuous Tense:


- Used to talk about actions happening at the present moment or ongoing actions.

- Affirmative: Subject + Am/Is/Are + verb (-ing form)


- Negative: Subject + Am/Is/Are + Not + verb-ing
- Interrogative: Am/Is/Are + Subject + verb-ing ?

- Example: "I am studying for my exam right now."

3. Present Perfect Tense:


- Used to express actions that happened at an indefinite time in the past.

- Affirmative: Subject + Have/Has + Past Participle


- Negative: Subject + Have/Has + Not + Past Participle
- Interrogative: Have/Has + Subject + Past Participle?

- Example: "I have visited Paris before."

4. Present Perfect Continuous Tense:


- Used to describe ongoing actions that started in the past and continue into the present.

- Affirmative: Subject + Have/Has + Been + Verb-ing


- Negative: Subject + Have/Has + Not + Been + Verb-ing
- Interrogative: Have/Has + Subject + Been + Verb-ing?

- Example: "She has been studying for three hours."

5. Simple Past Tense:


- Used to talk about completed actions or events that occurred in the past.
- Affirmative: Subject + Past Verb
- Negative: Subject + Did + Not + Base Verb
- Interrogative: Did + Subject + Base Verb?
- Example: "He played football yesterday."
6. Past Continuous Tense:
- Used to describe actions that were happening in the past over a period of time.
- Affirmative: Subject + Was/Were + verb+ing
- Negative: Subject + Was/Were + Not + Verb+ing
- Interrogative: Was/Were + Subject + Verb+ing?

- Example: "They were watching a movie when I arrived."

7. Past Perfect Tense:


- Used to show that one action in the past happened before another action.
- Affirmative: Subject + Had + Past Participle
- Negative: Subject + Had + Not + Past Participle
- Interrogative: Had + Subject + Past Participle?

- Example: "She had finished her homework before going out."

8. Past Perfect Continuous Tense:


- Used to describe ongoing actions that started and ended in the past before another
action.
- Affirmative: Subject + Had + Been + Verb-ing
- Negative: Subject + Had + Not + Been + Verb-ing
- Interrogative: Had + Subject + Been + Verb-ing?

- Example: "He had been working all day before he took a break."

9. Simple Future Tense:


- Used to express actions that will happen in the future.
- Affirmative: Subject + Will + Base Verb
- Negative: Subject + Will + Not + Base Verb
- Interrogative: Will + Subject + Base Verb?

- Example: "We will go on a vacation next month."

10. Future Continuous Tense:


- Used to describe actions that will be happening at a specific point in the future.

- Example: "They will be waiting for you at the airport."

future.
