ABSTRACT
This project involves the development of "Pitch Point," an innovative online slide-sharing
web application designed to leverage a centralized database along with a user-friendly web
interface. The main objective of this application is to facilitate seamless access to essential
documentation across a wide range of fields, including education, robotics, medical
diagnosis, science, artificial intelligence, big data, and data warehousing.

"Pitch Point" aims to address the growing need for an efficient platform where users can
easily upload, update, and share documents in a reliable manner. By providing a centralized
repository for various types of documents, the application enhances collaboration and
resource sharing, allowing individuals to access critical information relevant to their specific
areas of expertise. This feature is particularly valuable in academic settings, where students
and educators alike can benefit from a structured environment for sharing and engaging with
educational materials.

The application is designed with user accessibility in mind, offering both online and offline
access to documents. This ensures that users can retrieve important materials regardless of
their internet connectivity, thereby increasing the platform's usability in different
environments, such as classrooms, offices, or remote locations. The intuitive web interface
simplifies navigation, making it easy for users to find, organize, and manage their documents
without technical complications.

Furthermore, "Pitch Point" promotes an active culture of knowledge sharing and continuous
learning. By providing tools that allow users to engage with the most current information, the
application supports better learning outcomes and fosters collaboration among individuals in
various fields. Overall, "Pitch Point" aspires to be a transformative platform that enhances the
educational experience and empowers users to achieve their goals through improved access to
resources and effective communication.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background:
In today’s interconnected digital landscape, social media platforms play a pivotal role in
fostering communication, collaboration, and engagement. Our proposed platform aims to
seamlessly integrate essential features, including, Chat Functionality, Content Sharing, File
Attachments, Interactions, Follow and Unfollow.

Our vision is to create a user-friendly, feature-rich social media platform that caters to both
personal and professional needs. By combining these elements, we aim to foster meaningful
connections and empower users in their digital interactions.

This progress report provides an overview of the social media platform's development from
Ashar Week 3 to Ashar Week 4, detailing the planning, design, and coding phases. The report
highlights the activities completed, ongoing tasks, and any delays encountered in the project’s
development.

1.2 Problem Definition:

Social media platforms have become an integral part of our daily lives, but they also pose
several challenges. On one hand, they provide a great platform for people to connect with
their loved ones, increase communication, and make connections with people all over the
world. However, they also have several disadvantages, including the risk of cybercrimes like
cyberbullying, sexual exploitation, and money scams, which can be harmful to kids and
adults alike. Additionally, social media can be addictive, leading to a decrease in productivity
levels, and can also limit physical activities. Therefore, it is essential to monitor the use of
social media and limit its usage to avoid its negative impacts.
CHAPTER 2: PROJECT PROGRESS

2.1 Planning Phase (Ashar Week 3 to Bhadra Week 3):

The planning phase for the social media platform was completed as scheduled, from Ashar
Week 3 to Bhadra Week 3. During this period, the following key tasks were accomplished:
1:Platform Requirements: The project’s functional and technical requirements were
gathered, focusing on user experience, security, scalability, and features such as user profiles,
news feeds, and messaging systems.
2:Project Roadmap: A detailed project timeline was created, outlining deadlines and
milestone targets for each development phase.
3:Resource Allocation: Team members were assigned to various roles, including design,
coding, and testing.
4:Stakeholder Meetings: Regular meetings with stakeholders were conducted to ensure
alignment on platform objectives and user needs. The planning phase was executed smoothly,
and all goals were achieved within the stipulated time frame.
2.2 Design Phase (Bhadra Week 3 to Kartik Week 1):
The design phase took place between Bhadra Week 3 and Kartik Week 1. Key deliverables
during this phase included:
1:Wireframes and Mockups:Preliminary wireframes and design mockups were
developed for the social media platform. These visual layouts focused on user navigation,
layout, and interface design.
2:UI/UX Design: The user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) were finalized
to ensure ease of use, with a focus on clean, intuitive design and accessibility
features.
3:Feedback Loops: Multiple design review cycles were conducted with the project team
and stakeholders, allowing for timely feedback and refinements. While the design phase was
largely completed on time, there were minor revisions required based on feedback, but these
did not cause significant delays.

2.3 Coding Phase (Kartik Week 1 to Present):
The coding phase began in Kartik Week 1 and is ongoing. The main tasks carried out so far
include:
a:Front-End Development: Initial development of the user-facing side of the platform,
including user profiles, posts, and the news feed, has been initiated.
b:Back-End Development: Work on database architecture, server-side logic, and APIs for
user authentication, data storage, and content management has begun.
c:Integration of Features: Early stages of integration for messaging systems, notifications,
and user interactions have been initiated.
However, the coding phase has encountered some challenges:
1:Delayed Development: Due to the complexity of the platform and some initial design
changes, the coding phase has taken longer than anticipated. While some features are
partially functional, others are still under development.
2:Testing Delays: As of now, the platform has not yet entered the testing phase. Full
functionality has not been achieved, and therefore, comprehensive testing cannot be
conducted at this stage.
Despite these delays, progress has been steady, and the team is working to resolve
outstanding issues.

2.4 Current Status:

a)Completed: Planning and design phases.
b)Ongoing: Coding phase, with front-end and back-end development
underway.
c)Challenges: Delays in completing the coding phase have prevented the
project from moving into the testing phase.
d)Next Steps: The focus will be on completing the remaining coding tasks and
initiating testing once the platform reaches a stable version.
CHAPTER 3: Conclusion

The social media platform’s development is progressing steadily, despite encountering delays
in the coding phase. The planning and design phases were completed on time and have
provided a strong foundation for the development work. Moving forward, the primary focus
will be on completing the coding tasks and preparing the platform for testing. We are
confident that with continued effort, the project will be on track to meet its final deadline
