SAFETY INFORMATION
Before the installation and use, read this manual carefully: For your safety and the safety of your property To help the environment For the correct operation of the appliance. Always keep these instructions with the appliance also if you move or give it to a different person. The manufacturer is not responsible if an incorrect installation and use causes damage.
GENERAL SAFETY
Do not use the appliance for professional use. The appliance is only for domestic use. Do not change the specifications of this appliance. There is the risk of injury and damage to the appliance. Do not put flammable products or items that are wet with flammable products in, near or on the appliance. Risk of explosion or fire. Obey the safety instructions on the detergent packaging to prevent burns to eyes, mouth and throat. Make sure that you remove all metal objects from the laundry. Hard and sharp material can cause damage to the appliance. Do not touch the glass of the door while a programme operates. The glass can be hot (only for front-loading appliances).
INSTALLATION
The appliance is heavy, be careful when you move it. Do not transport your appliance without the transit bolts, you can damage

internal components and cause leakages or malfunctions. Do not install and connect a damaged appliance. Make sure to remove all packaging and transport bolts. Make sure that the mains plug is disconnected from the mains socket during installation. Only a qualified person must do the electrical installation, the plumbing and the installation of the appliance. This to prevent the risks of structural damage or injury. Do not install or use the appliance where the temperature is less than 0 C. When you install the appliance on a carpet floor, make sure that there is air circulation between the appliance and the carpet. Adjust the feet to have the necessary space between the appliance and the carpet.
Electrical connection
Make sure that the appliance is earthed. Make sure that the electrical information on the rating plate agrees with the power supply. Always use a correctly installed shockproof socket. Do not use multiple plugs and extension cables. There is a risk of fire. Do not replace or change the mains cable. Contact the service centre. Make sure not to cause damage to the mains plug and cable. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only at the end of the installation. Make sure that there is access to the mains plug after the installation. Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the appliance. Always pull the mains plug.
Water connection
Do not connect the appliance with old hoses already used. Only use new hoses. Make sure not to cause damage to the water hoses. Do not connect the appliance to new pipes or pipes not used for a long time. Let the water flow for some minutes, then connect the inlet hose. The first time you use the appliance, make sure that the water hoses and the couplings do not have leakages.

Press this button to activate or deactivate the appliance. A tune sounds when the appliance is activated. The AUTO Stand-by function automatically deactivates the appliance to decrease the energy consumption when: You do not use the appliance for 5 minutes before you press button 4 . All settings are cancelled. Press button 1 to activate the appliance again.
Set again the washing programme and all possible options. After 5 minutes from the end of the washing programme. Refer to 'At the end of programme'.

Steam can be used for dried, washed or worn once laundry. These programmes can reduce creases and odours and make your laundry more smooth. Do not use any detergent. If necessary, remove stains by washing or using localized stain removal. Steam programmes do not perform any hygienic cycle.
1) If you set a Steam programme with dried laundry, at the end of the cycle the laundry feels humid. It is better to expose clothes to the fresh air for about 10 minutes to let the humidity dry. Laundry should be removed from the drum as quick as possible. After a steam cycle, clothes may to be ironed anyway, but with less effort!

1. Press button 1 to cancel the programme and to deactivate the appliance. 2. Press button 1 again to activate the appliance. Now, you can set a new washing programme. The appliance does not drain the water.

WATER HARDNESS
If the water hardness in your area is high or moderate, we recommend that you use a water softener for washing machines. In areas where the water hardness is soft it is not necessary to use a water softener. To know the water hardness in your area, contact your local water authority. Obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the products. Equivalent scales measure the water hardness: German degrees (dH). French degrees (TH). mmol/l (millimol for each litre - international unit for the hardness of water). Clarke degrees.
STUBBORN STAINS
For some stains, water and detergent is not sufficient. We recommend that you remove these stains before you put the items in the appliance. Special stain removers are available. Use the special stain remover that is applicable to the type of stain and fabric.

MAINTENANCE WASH
With the low temperature programmes it is possible that some detergent stays in the drum. Make regularly a maintenance wash. To do this: Empty the laundry from the drum. Set the hottest cotton wash programme Use a correct quantity of powder detergent with biological properties. After each wash, keep the door open for a while to prevent mould and to let unpleasant smells go out.
DESCALING
The water we use contains limescale. If it becomes necessary, use a water softener to remove limescales. Use a special product made for washing machines. Obey the instructions that you find on the packaging of the manufacturer. Do this separately from the laundry wash.
EXTERNAL CLEANING
Clean the appliance only with soap and warm water. Fully dry all the surfaces.
DOOR SEAL
Regularly examine the seal and remove all objects from the inner part.
DRUM
Regularly examine the drum to prevent limescale and rust particles. Only use special products to remove rust particles from the drum. To do this:
Clean the drum with special product for stainless steel. Start a short programme for cotton at the maximum temperature with a small quantity of detergent.

DETERGENT DISPENSER
To clean the dispenser:

Remove the top part of the liquid additive compartment. Clean all the parts with water.

Clean the dispenser recess with a brush. Put back the dispenser in the recess.
DRAIN PUMP
Regularly examine the drain pump and make sure that it is clean. Clean the pump if: The appliance does not drain the water. The drum cannot turn. The appliance makes an unusual noise because of the blockage of the drain pump. The display shows an alarm code because of the problem with water drain.
WARNING! 1. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. 2. Do not remove the filter while the appliance operates. Do not clean the drain pump if the water in the appliance is hot. The water must be cold before you clean the drain pump.

Put a container below the recess of the drain pump to collect the water that flows out. Press the two levers and pull forward the drainage duct to let the water flow out.

When the container is full of water, put the drainage duct back again and empty the container. Do steps 4 and 5 again and again until no more water flows out from the drain pump. Pull back the drainage duct and turn the filter to remove it. Remove fluff and objects from the pump.

Make sure that the impeller of the pump can turn. If this does not occur, contact the service centre.

EMERGENCY DRAIN
Because of a malfunction, the appliance cannot drain the water. If this occurs, do steps (1) through (6) of 'To clean the drain pump'.
If necessary, clean the pump. Put the drainage duct back and close the drain pump flap.

When you drain the water with the emergency drain procedure, you must activate again the drain system: 1. Put 2 litres of water in the main wash compartment of the detergent dispenser. 2. Start the programme to drain the water.
FROST PRECAUTIONS
If the appliance is installed in an area where the temperature can be less than 0 C, remove the remaining water from the inlet hose and the drain pump. 1. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
2. Close the water tap. 3. Remove the water inlet hose 4. Put the two ends of the inlet hose in a container and let the water flow out of the hose. 5. Empty the drain pump. Refer to the emergency drain procedure 6. When the drain pump is empty, install the inlet hose again. WARNING! Make sure that the temperature is more than 0 C before you use the appliance again. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by low temperatures.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The start of the appliance does not occur or it stops during operation. First try to find a solution to the problem (refer to the table). If not, contact the service centre. With some problems, the acoustic signals operate and the display shows an alarm code: - The appliance does not fill with water. Problem The appliance does not fill with water. Possible cause The water tap is closed. - The appliance does not drain the water. - The appliance door is open or not closed correctly. - The anti-flood device is on. WARNING! Deactivate the appliance before you do the checks. Possible solution Open the water tap.

Incorrect level of the appliance. You did not remove the packaging and/or the transit bolts. The load is very small.

Problem The appliance fills with water and drain immediately. The washing results are not satisfactory.
Possible cause The end of the drain hose is too low. The detergent you used was not sufficient or correct. You did not remove the stubborn stains before you wash the laundry. Incorrect temperature was set. Too much laundry load.
Possible solution Make sure that the drain hose is in the correct position. Increase the detergent quantity or use a different one. Use special products to remove the stubborn stains. Make sure that you set the correct temperature. Decrease the laundry load. If the display shows other alarm codes, contact the service centre.
After the check, activate the appliance. The programme continues from the point of interruption. If the problem occurs again, contact the service centre.

UNPACKING
1. Use the gloves. Remove the external film. If necessary, use a cutter.

Open the door. Remove the polystyrene piece from the door seal and all the items from the drum.

Put one of the polystyrene packaging elements on the floor behind the appliance. Carefully put down the appliance with the rear side on it. Make sure not to damage the hoses.

Remove the polystyrene protection from the bottom. Pull up the appliance in vertical position.

Remove the power supply cable and the drain hose from the hose holders.
10. Remove the three bolts. Use the key supplied with the appliance. 11. Pull out the plastic spacers.

WARNING! Remove all the packaging and the transit bolts before you install the appliance.
We recommend that you keep the packaging and the transit bolts for when you move the appliance.

Connect the water inlet hose to the cold water tap with 3/4 thread. CAUTION! Make sure that there are no leaks from the couplings.
Do not use an extension hose if the inlet hose is too short. Contact the service centre for the replacement of the inlet hose.
Water-stop device
The inlet hose has a water stop device. This device prevents water leaks in the hose because of its natural ageing. The red sector in the window A shows this fault . If this occur, close the water tap and contact the service centre to replace the hose.
WATER DRAINAGE
There are different procedures to connect the drain hose:

On the edge of a sink. Make sure that the plastic guide cannot move when the appliance drains. Attach the guide to the water tap or the wall.
To a stand pipe with vent-hole. Refer to the illustration. Directly into a drain pipe at a height of not less than 60 cm and not more than 100 cm. The end of the drain hose must always be ventilated , i.e. the inner diameter of the drainpipe must be larger than the external diameter of the drain hose.
Without the plastic hose guide. To a sink spigot. Refer to the illustration. Put the drain hose in the spigot and tighten it with a clip. Make sure that the drain hose makes a loop to prevent that remaining particles go in the appliance from the sink.
Directly to a built-in drain pipe in the room wall and tighten it with a clip.

You can extend the drain hose to maximum 400 cm. Contact the service centre for the other drain hose and the extension.

MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA
Apague el aparato y desenchfelo de la toma de corriente. No utilice el aparato sin los filtros. Compruebe que los filtros estn instalados correctamente. Una instalacin incorrecta puede provocar fugas de agua.

INSTALACIN
El aparato es pesado, tenga cuidado cuando lo mueva. No transporte el electrodomstico sin los pasadores de transporte, puede daar los componentes internos y provocar fugas o fallos de funcionamiento. No instale ni enchufe un aparato daado. Asegrese de quitar todos los pasadores del embalaje y transporte. Asegrese de que el enchufe est desconectado de la toma de red durante la instalacin. La instalacin, fontanera y conexiones elctricas del aparato debe realizarlas tan slo un tcnico profesional homologado. De esta forma se evitarn riesgos de daos estructurales y lesiones. No instale ni utilice el aparato en lugares con temperaturas inferiores a 0 C. Cuando instale el aparato en un suelo enmoquetado, asegrese de que el aire circula entre el electrodomstico y la moqueta. Ajuste las patas para disponer del espacio necesario entre el aparato y la moqueta.
La primera vez que use el aparato, asegrese de que las mangueras y los acoplamientos no tengan fugas.
Conexin elctrica
Asegrese de que el aparato est conectado a tierra. Asegrese de que las especificaciones elctricas de la placa coinciden con las del suministro elctrico de su hogar. Utilice siempre una toma con aislamiento de conexin a tierra correctamente instalada. No utilice enchufes mltiples ni cables prolongadores. Existe riesgo de incendio. No sustituya ni cambie el cable de suministro de red. Pngase en contacto con el servicio tcnico. Asegrese de no provocar daos en el enchufe ni en el cable. Conecte el enchufe a la toma de corriente nicamente cuando haya terminado la instalacin. Asegrese de tener acceso al enchufe del suministro de red una vez instalado el aparato. No desconecte el aparato tirando del cable de conexin a la red. Tire siempre del enchufe.
Conexin de agua
No conecte el aparato con tubos antiguos ya usados. Utilice nicamente tubos nuevos. Asegrese de no provocar daos en los tubos de agua. No conecte el aparato a tuberas nuevas o que no se hayan utilizado durante un periodo de tiempo largo. Deje correr el agua durante unos minutos y, a continuacin, conecte la manguera de entrada.
DESECHE EL APARATO.
1. Desenchufe el aparato de la toma de red. 2. Corte el cable de conexin a la red y deschelo. 3. Deseche el cierre de la puerta. De esta forma evitar que los nios o mascotas queden encerrados en el aparato. Existe riesgo de asfixia (solo para electrodomsticos de carga frontal).

CONSEJOS ECOLGICOS
Para contribuir con el medio ambiente, use menos agua y energa y siga estas instrucciones: Ajuste un programa sin la fase de prelavado para lavar ropa con suciedad normal. Empiece siempre un programa de lavado con la carga de colada mxima. Si fuera necesario, utilice un quitamanchas cuando ajuste un programa a baja temperatura. El vapor se puede usar para las prendas secadas, lavadas o que se han puesto una vez. Estos programas pueden reducir la cantidad de arrugas y los olores y suavizar las prendas. No utilice detergente. CARGAR LA COLADA
1. Abra la puerta del aparato. 2. Introduzca las prendas en el tambor, una por una. Sacuda las prendas antes de colocarlas en el aparato. Asegrese de no colocar demasiada colada en el tambor. 3. Cierre la puerta del aparato. Asegrese de que no quedan prendas enganchadas entre la puerta y el cierre. Podra provocar fugas de agua y daar la colada.

CANCELACIN DE UN PROGRAMA
1. Pulse el botn 1 para cancelar el programa y apagar el aparato. 2. Pulse el botn 1 de nuevo para encender el aparato. Ahora puede ajustar un nuevo programa de lavado. El aparato no desagua.
INTERRUPCIN DE UN PROGRAMA
1. Pulse la tecla 4 . El indicador parpadea. 2. Pulse la tecla 4 de nuevo. EL programa de lavado contina.

2. Pulse la tecla 4 ; el aparato inicia la cuenta atrs del inicio diferido. El programa de lavado se pone en marcha de forma automtica cuando termina la cuenta atrs. Antes de pulsar el botn 4 para iniciar el aparato, puede cancelar o cambiar el ajuste del inicio diferido. No puede ajustar el inicio diferido con el programa de Vapor.
Para abrir la puerta del aparato: 1. Pulse la tecla 4 . El smbolo del candado de la puerta se apaga. 2. Abra la puerta del aparato. 3. Cierre la puerta y pulse el botn 4 . El programa o el inicio diferido continan. Si la temperatura y el nivel de agua del tambor son demasiado elevados, el smbolo de bloqueo de la puerta permanece encendido y no se puede abrir la puerta. Para abrir la puerta, siga estos pasos: 1. Apague el aparato. 2. Espere unos minutos. 3. Asegrese de que no hay agua en el tambor. Si apaga el electrodomstico, es necesario volver a ajustar el programa.
ABRA LA PUERTA
Mientras un programa o el inicio diferido estn en marcha, la puerta del aparato est bloqueada.
AL FINALIZAR EL PROGRAMA
El aparato se para automticamente. Se activan las seales acsticas. . En la pantalla se enciende El indicador del botn de Inicio/Pausa 4 se apaga. El indicador de bloqueo de la puerta se apaga. Pulse el botn 1 para apagar el aparato. Cinco minutos despus de finalizar el programa, la funcin de ahorro de energa apaga automticamente el aparato. Cuando se vuelve a encender el aparato, la pantalla muestra el final del ltimo programa seleccionado. Gire el selector de programas para ajustar un nuevo ciclo. Retire la colada del aparato. Asegrese de que el tambor est totalmente vaco. Deje la puerta entreabierta para evitar la formacin de moho y olores desagradables. Cierre la toma de agua. El programa de lavado ha finalizado, pero hay agua en el tambor: El tambor gira regularmente para evitar arrugas en las prendas. La puerta permanece bloqueada. Debe drenar el agua para abrir la puerta. Para descargar el agua: 1. Si fuera necesario, reduzca la velocidad de centrifugado. 2. Pulse el botn Inicio/Pausa 4 . El aparato vaca el agua y centrifuga.

3. Cuando el programa termina y el smbolo de bloqueo de la puerta se apaga, puede abrir la puerta. 4. Apague el aparato.

CONSEJOS TILES
CARGAR LA COLADA
Divida la colada en: ropa blanca, ropa de color, ropa sinttica, prendas delicadas y prendas de lana. Siga las instrucciones de lavado que se encuentran en las etiquetas de las prendas. No lave juntas las prendas blancas y de color. Algunas prendas de color pueden desteir en el primer lavado. Se recomienda lavarlas por separado la primera vez. Abotone las fundas de almohadas y cierre las cremalleras, los ganchos y los broches. Ate las correas. Vace los bolsillos y despliegue las prendas. D la vuelta a las prendas de varias capas, de lana y con motivos pintados. Retire las manchas difciles. Lave con detergente especial las manchas difciles. Tenga cuidado con las cortinas. Quite los ganchos o coloque las cortinas en una bolsa para lavadora o funda de almohada. No lave en el aparato: Prendas sin dobladillos o desgarradas Sujetadores con aros. Use una bolsa para lavadora para lavar las prendas pequeas. Una carga muy pequea puede provocar problemas de desequilibrio en la fase de centrifugado. Si esto ocurre, ajuste manualmente las prendas en la cuba e inicie de nuevo la fase de centrifugado. Existen quitamanchas especiales. Utilice el quitamanchas especial adecuado al tipo de mancha y tejido.
DETERGENTES Y ADITIVOS
Utilice solo detergentes y aditivos especialmente fabricados para lavadoras. No mezcle diferentes tipos de detergentes. Para respetar el medio ambiente, no ponga ms detergente del necesario. Siga siempre las instrucciones que se encuentran en el envase de estos productos. Use los productos adecuados para el tipo y color del tejido, la temperatura del programa y el grado de suciedad. Si utiliza detergente lquido, no ajuste la fase de prelavado. Si el aparato no tiene el dosificador de detergente con dispositivo de compuerta, aada los detergentes lquidos con una bola dosificadora.
DUREZA AGUA
Si la dureza del agua de su zona es alta o moderada, se recomienda usar un descalcificador de agua para lavadoras. En las zonas en las que la dureza del agua sea baja, no es necesario utilizar un descalcificador. Pngase en comunicacin con las autoridades correspondientes para conocer la dureza del agua de su zona. Siga siempre las instrucciones que se encuentran en el envase de los productos. Medida de la dureza del agua en escalas equivalentes: Grados alemanes (dH). Grados franceses (TH). mmol/l (milimol por litro, unidad internacional de la dureza del agua). Grados Clarke.
MANCHAS DIFCILES
Para algunas manchas, el agua y el detergente no son suficientes. Se recomienda eliminar estas manchas antes de colocar las prendas en el aparato.

ADVERTENCIA Desconecte el aparato de la fuente de alimentacin antes de limpiarlo. PRECAUCIN No utilice alcohol, disolventes ni otros productos qumicos.
DESCALCIFICACIN
El agua corriente que utilizamos suele contener cal. Si es necesario, use un descalcificador de agua para eliminar la cal. Use un producto especial para lavadoras. Siga siempre las instrucciones que se encuentran en el envase del fabricante. Hgalo de forma separada del lavado de la colada.
LAVADO DE MANTENIMIENTO
Con los programas a baja temperatura, es posible que quede algo de detergente en el tambor. Realice peridicamente un lavado de mantenimiento. Para ello: Saque las prendas del tambor. Seleccione el programa de lavado de algodn de mayor temperatura Use la cantidad correcta de detergente en polvo con propiedades biolgicas. Despus de cada lavado, mantenga la puerta abierta unos instantes para eliminar la humedad y los olores desagradables.
TAMBOR
Examine peridicamente el tambor para evitar la formacin de cal y partculas de xido. Utilice nicamente productos especiales para eliminar la partculas de xido del tambor.
