Shrieking Eel Scarf

Shrieking Eel Scarf
I dont know if its just me, but it seems like every scarf I wear insists on being anywhere but actually around my neck. Imagine holding a cranky toddler who is begging to be in the arms of anybody else, reaching and squirming away from you, twisting and wanting down. It is a constant battle.
I was forced to design this. Here was my criteria: 1. Triangular (to achieve the bandana look) 2. Really long tails for wrapping around and draping in front 3. Garter stitch to keep it from curling (and for a faster knit)

I added a sassy fringe to mine by cutting 10 pieces of yarn, putting two together, folding them in half and looping them straight onto the edge using what looks like a cow hitch knot. Ive also made a version with pillow tassels fastened to each of the tails and one on the point. The Internet has some great tutorials for both of these methods.
