Graduation Speech
Graduation Speech
Our most esteemed district schools supervisor __________________________________, our beloved school principal, Mrs. Ethel Prieto, respected members of the faculty, parents, visitors, graduates, friends, ladies and gentlemen, good morning. At the outset, I would like to thank the school board and the parents for giving me this privilege and honor to be your guest speaker on this momentous occasion, thank you very much. This is a warm homecoming to me. After 48 years, I once again step on the halls of this institution, our alma mater whose portals molded me into what I am now. It wasnt easy for me then. I was very shy and bullied upon for I was a child with physical and speech disabilities. But, I excelled in arithmetic and written examinations. Notwithstanding, these became my strong foundation and with the help of the Lord and my teachers who patiently taught me and assisted me, I was able to overcome all the challenges of being a pupil and landed among the top ten graduates. Graduation marks remarkable joy and excitement not only to you graduates but more so for your parents who could see the fruits of their sacrifices, love and devotion to their families particularly to you their children. On the other hand, you, pupils feel proud to have come out successful after spending hours doing your assignments, submitting projects and joining contests where your mental, physical, emotional, technical and spiritual aspects are developed and enhanced. Im certain that as young as you are, graduates of class 2012, you have dreams of becoming what you would like to be, lofty at that. Its nice to dream but its not enough. You have to learn that to attain your dreams you have to work hard. Say I CAN! as what I said to myself then. And this leads to what we call self-confidence. Use it, keep it, learn how to set your goals and achieve them. Of course there will be many problems that you will encounter, its not easy. But with lots of prayers and positive thinking you will become the person you really want to be. Each of you is precious to the Lord and has given each one of you a gift. You should be aware of that talent or gift or skill, use it well for your good and for the good of others.
You are all SPECIAL, believe that! I hope and pray that each one of you will pursue the next level of your education as you go out from this institution and succeed in life. CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES! CONGRATULATIONS PARENTS! Thank you everyone.
