Itinerary 1 9.

00am Arrival at the Jurong Bird Park Start your Bird Park visit with a refreshing-walk through the lovely Palm Plaza Garden and let the greenery immerse you with its enchanting exotic palm trees. Catch the sight of the lovely black swans and a happy duck family living harmoniously, paddling together in their cozy pond! Make your way to the award-winning exhibit Lory Loft, which covers 3,000 sq.m and stands 9 storeys high, is the worlds largest walk-in Lory Flight Aviary and houses over 1,000 freeflying lories. Amid this tropical northern Australian rainforest vale, experience the fun-filled interactions with these vivacious lories by offering them the specially concocted nectar-mix, and watch how these colourful lories flock to you! Enter the African Waterfall Aviary, which is the worlds largest walk-in aviary with more than 1,500 free flying African birds from about 50 species. Now, get your camera ready and pose for a breath-taking picture with the tallest man-made waterfall in the world in its tropical rainforest setting!

9.25- 9.45am

Kings10.00-10.30am of the Skies Show at Hawk Walk Watch majestic eagles, hawks and falcons swoop in serial loops and soar above the treetops. Not only will you be able to get up-close with these amazing birds, you will also gain an insight into the fascinating world of falconry as these birds put through their actions in a simulated hunt. 10.30-10.45am Penguin Feeding Stop by and chill at the Penquin exhibit where you can catch penquins flying underwater in an underwater ambience. The five species on exhibit are the Humboldt, Macaroni, Rockhopper, Fairy and King Penguin. It is not easy to identify, have a go at it!

Birds 11.00-11.30am at the Pools Amphitheatre n Buddies Show This show boasts the most spectacular and the widest variety of performing birds in a single act. Be entertained by the antics of colourful costume characters and be amazed by the natural behaviour of the birds. A lucky few can even interact with the birds! 11.30 - 11.45am Move over to Dinosaur Descendants, our newly launched exhibit, where 4 different species of flightless birds are housed. They are namely the Ostrich, Cassowary, Rhea and Emu. These Ratites are considered to be the closest link to the Dinosaurs. Come and check them out!

Enter 11.45- 12.00pm Darkness, Asias first nocturnal bird house into the World of that features a system of reverse lighting, converting day to night and vice-versa. On display are 60 birds from 17 species, like the Night Herons and Snowy Owls. It is akin to a quiet nocturnal walk along a starlit jungle path, observing birds in their natural habitat.

Morning Highlights* (9.00am 1.30pm)


9:00am Arrival at the Zoo Meander through the Rainforest Walk to catch sight of Asian small-clawed otters before heading past Gibbon Island for a glimpse of our acrobatic apes. 9.15 9.30am 9.30 10.20am Stop by the Elephant Bathing area and watch our jumbos having a splashing good time! Then pack our pachyderms with fruit during the token feeding session. Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife at Ah Meng Restaurant The buffet is not the only draw at this unique breakfast experience. Get up close with our charismatic orang utans, mischievous red-handed marmosets or pose with a snake for a memorable photograph. 10.30 11.00am Splash Safari Show at Shaw Foundation Amphitheatre A crowd pleasing show featuring our star Californian sealions showing off their agility by performing breathtaking leaps, flips, dives and jumps. 11.05 11.20am 11.30 12.00 noon Take a quick stroll around Primate Kingdom and learn more about monkeys the arrestingly beautiful Douc langurs never fail to draw oohs and ahhhs! Proceed to Elephants At Work and Play show at the Elephants of Asia exhibit. This show gives you an insight into a working elephants typical day at the logging camp. It reveals the incredible bond between the mahouts and their elephants, as well as how intelligent these giants are. Immerse yourself in the ecological and cultural wealth of Asia at the six huts, each of which showcases an Asian country that is home to these majestic creatures. 12.00 12.15pm Hamadryas Baboons The Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia This award winning exhibit features a spectacular troop of close to 100 baboons alongside Nubian ibexes, rock hyraxes and banded mongoose in a stunning landscape of massive rocky outcrops. Experience the native Ethiopian lifestyle with rustic tribal villages, artifacts and coffee ceremony huts. 12.15 12.35pm Enjoy a leisurely 20-minute Boat Ride along the scenic Upper Seletar Reservoir and look out for monitor lizards, stork-billed kingfishers or Singapores largest bird, the white- bellied sea eagle. Boat Dock 1 is right across from the white tiger exhibit. Check with staff for boat departure timings.

12.40pm - Rainforest Kidzworld 1.15pm A must for those with children, this colourful wonderland of fun will also appeal to the young at heart. Hop onto the Wild Animal Carousel or if youve brought your swim gear, dunk yourself in the Water Play area for a splashingly good time! For some family fun, opt for a horse carriage ride, which will take you around the periphery of this 3-hectare attraction. OR Fragile Forest Explore this walkthrough rainforest which is home to free ranging mousedeer, lemurs, sloths and butterflies amidst mighty trees, delicate ferns and stunning cascades. The forest ambience is further recreated with soundscaping, logs and a misting effect. 1.20 1.30pm Take the tram from Tram Stop 2 to the final alighting point (close to the orang utan habitat). The exit is a 5-8 minute walk from here, depending on your pace. Complete your visit by bringing back some attractive souvenirs from the Zoo Shop (at the entrance). 1.30pm onwards For a late lunch, indulge in either: Ah Meng Kopi: Scrumptious local favourites such as steaming hot nasi lemak and hearty laksa are a must-try. For a lighter alternative, try the toast sets. Wash it down with a refreshing extra large glass of iced lemon tea Pizzafari: Mouth-watering Italian-style thin crusted pizza at our very own outlet. 5 delectable choices await to satisfy your tastebuds Hawaiian, Tandoori, Meat Lovers, Vegetarian and Mushroom! For a sweet end to the day, treat yourself to Americas favourite ice cream at our Ben & Jerrys Scoop Shop. All the three food outlets above are located at the Zoo entrance. Afternoon Highlights* (2.00pm - 6.00pm) 2.00pm

Arrival at the Singapore Zoo Meander through the Rainforest Walk to catch sight of Asian small-clawed otters before heading past the Malayan tapirs, babirusa and magnificent white tigers before going for a 20minute cruise on the Boat Safari. Traverse the pristine waters of the Upper Seletar Reservoir and look out for monitor lizards, stork-billed kingfishers or Singapores largest bird, the white-bellied sea eagle, as the boat glides through the water. Boat Dock 1 is right across from the white tiger exhibit. Check with staff for boat departure timings.

2.40 3.10pm

Rainforest Kidzworld A must for those with children, this colourful wonderland of fun will also appeal to the young at heart. Take the tram from Tram Stop 2 to Tram Stop 4 before proceeding to the Elephants At Workand Play animal presentation (3.30pm) at the Elephants of Asia exhibit. This show gives you an insight into a working elephants typical day at the logging camp. It demonstrates the incredible bond between the mahouts and their elephants, and reveals how intelligent these giants are. Immerse yourself in the ecological and cultural wealth of Asia at the six huts, each of which showcases an Asian country that is home to these majestic creatures.

4.00 4.30pm

Hop into Australian Outback and come up close to grey kangaroos and agile wallabies. Interspersed with semi-arid and marginally fertile ground, this exhibit reflects the rugged beauty of Down Under. Other highlights include the cassowary, bearded dragon, frilled-neck lizard and tree kangaroo. Learn more about these animals from the educational interpretives or jump onboard the jeep for a great photo opportunity.

For a token amount, guests can feed our kangaroos at 4.00pm daily, during the token feeding session. 5.00 5.30pm Hamadryas Baboons the Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia This award winning exhibit features a spectacular troop of over 80 baboons alongside Nubian ibexes, black-backed jackals, rock hyraxes and banded mongooses in a stunning landscape of massive rocks.
