The document describes the factory acceptance test program for a rescue boat handling system including davit and winch. It outlines the different load and functional tests performed as well as test parameters and acceptance criteria.

The different tests performed include static load tests, recovery test, full loaded gravity lowering test, dynamic load test, light loaded gravity lowering test and hand operation test.

The minimum hoisting speed is 0.3 m/s, the minimum gravity lowering speed is 1 m/s and the minimum speed for gravity lowering without persons is 0.7 m/s.

1. STATIC LOAD TESTS

The appliance and ist attachments should be of sufficient strength to withstand the test load. There should be no evidence of significant deformation or other damage as a result of this test.

Test load for the davit: Test load for the winch:

4.934 kg 3.364 kg

Examination of structure and foundations (Passed / Failed):

Remarks:

- Static test for the winch is overrided by static system test for davit!

2. RECOVERY TEST
The appliance should successfully recover the test load bring it back to the in-board position. The recovery speed at which the fully loaded rescue boat is hoisted shall not less than 0,3 m/s. Hoisting of the test load over a market distance H of 3,5 m. There should be no evidence of significant deformation or other damage as a result of this test.

Test load =

1.920 kg 0,0 s 0,00 m/s

Measured time T: Hoisting speed = H/T:

Examination of structure and foundations (Passed / Failed):

3. FULL LOADED GRAVITY LOWERING TEST

The minimum gravity lowering speed at which the fully loaded rescue boat inclusive persons is lowered shall not less than 1 m/s. Lowering of the test load over a market distance H of 3,5 m.

Test load =

1.920 kg 0,0 s 0,00 m/s

Measured time T: Gravity lowering speed = H/T:

Passed / Failed:

Remarks:

4. DYNAMIC LOAD TEST

The appliance should successfully turn-out the test load by means of stowed power against 20 list and 10 trim (black-out imitation). After this the appliance should successfully lower the test load. When the test load has reached the maximum lowering speed the brake should abruptly applied. There should be no evidence of significant deformation or other damage as a result of the tests.

Test load =

2.467 kg

Examination of structure and foundations (Passed / Failed):

Remarks:

5. LIGHT LOADED GRAVITY LOWERING TEST

The speed at which the fully loaded rescue boat without persons is lowered shall not less than 0,7 m/s. Lowering of the test load over a market distance H of 3,5 m.

Test load =

1.425 kg 0,0 s 0,00 m/s

Measured time T: Gravity lowering speed = H/T:

Passed / Failed:

Remarks:

6. HAND OPERATION TEST

Hand operation of the winch is to be demonstrated.

Test load =

2.243 kg

Passed / Failed:

Remarks:
