Assumptions of Behaviorism
Learning is evidenced by a behavioral change
Internal process is excluded Behavior can be observed, controlled, predicted

Focus on S-R concept to understand learning process.

All species of animals learns in similar principle

Learning is a result of environmental events

Types of Behaviorist Learning Theory

Behaviorist Theory Classical Conditioning
Ivan Pavlov J.B Watson

Operant Conditioning
B.F Skinner E.L. Thorndike

PAVLOVS CLASSICAL CONDITIONING

It is also known as psychic reflexes, transfer conditioning or stimulus-response conditioning. Ivan P.Pavlov had conducted an experiment related to the study of dogs saliva with the digestive system.

PAVLOVS CLASSICAL CONDITIONING

The dog would salivate when a bell rang before the meat powder was given (psychic reflexes/conditioned reflex).
