MAIN AIM
To introduce a new approach and new method of teaching and learning of Maths for primary school students.
CHANGES
Primary School Maths Syllabus was rearranged from being : Simple to Complex Concrete to Abstract Nearby-experiences to Distance-experiences Dr.Geoffrey Matthews and a team of Mathematics writers published many guide books as well as teaching modules for teachers. Various learning instruments and worksheets were produced to be used during group activities.

Good respond Successful in achieving its objective
SPECIAL PROJECT 1970 adapted most of the ideas from NMP Teaching should not only be revolved within the classroom. Teachers should expose students with a variety environment involving the use of latest technology like the LCD, PowerPoint presentations etc. Activities in classroom involves worksheets.
