SHORT-CUT METHOD FOR ONEWAY ANOVA
(i) Take the total of the values of individual items in all the samples i.e., work out Xij i = 1, 2, 3, j = 1, 2, 3, and call it as T. (ii) Work out the correction factor as under:
(iii) Find out the square of all the item values one by one and then take its total. Subtract the correction factor from this total and the result is the sum of squares for total variance.
