Nanobots: BY Y.Charitha

This document discusses nanobots, which are tiny machines designed to perform tasks at the nanoscale. It provides a brief history of nanobot development and outlines their potential applications in medical, military, and other fields. Specifically, the document notes that nanobots could break up blood clots, fight cancer, and break up kidney stones medically. Militarily, nanobots may be able to detect biological agents and protect soldiers. The document also reviews nanobot construction, advantages like their small size, and disadvantages such as high initial design costs.

INTRODUCTION
A nanobot is a tiny machine designed to perform a
specific task or tasks repeatedly and with precision at
nanoscale dimensions, that is of one nanometer (nm)
or less, where 1nm = 10-9 meter.
Nanobots might function at the atomic or molecular
level to build devices, machines or circuits and process
is known as molecular manufacturing.
 Nanobots might also produce copies of themselves to
replace worn-out units and process is called as self-
replication.
HISTORY
Adriano Cavalcanti is the medical
nanobot inventor for the practical
hardware architecture of nanobots,
which was integrated as a model
based on nano bioelectronics for
applications in environmental
monitoring, brain aneurysm,
diabetes, cancer and cardiology.
NANOBOT ISSUSES
 Sensors
 Computer and control
 Communication
 Interfaces and integrations
 Programming and coordination
CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN
Design derived from biological models.
Components: Onboard sensors ,motors,
manipulators ,power suppliers ,molecular
components.
Best known biological sample is ribosome used
to construct robotic arm.
Manipulator arm driven by detailed sequence
of control signals.
Control signals recevied by robotic arm via on
board sensors using broadcast architecture.
Assemblers are molecular machine system
perform molecular manufacturing on atomic
scale.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN

Security
Spy
MEDICAL APPLICATIONS
Breaking up blood clots
Fighting cancer
Breaking up of kidney stones
MILITARY APPLICATIONS
By using this technology, the military would
be able to create sensor systems that could
detect biological agents.
Nanoparticles can be injected into the
material on soldiers uniforms not only to
make the material more durable, but also
protect soldiers from many type of danger
situations.
ADVANTAGES
Small in size.
They are more effective in medical field.
Used to trace the location .
DISADVANTAGES
The nanobot should be very accurate, otherwise
harmful effects may occur.
The initial design cost is very high.
The design of this nanobot is a very complicated
one.
CONCLUSION
The paper is just a theoretical justification. But
the recent advancement in the field of
nanotechnology gives the hope of the effective
use of this technology in medical and other fields
also.
 This is the beginning of nano era and we could
expect further improvements.
