Environment Study: Natural and Manmade

The document summarizes the natural topography and drainage patterns of Bengaluru Metropolitan Area (BMA). It notes that BMA has a central ridge running north-south that divides its rainfall catchments and causes waters to drain east or west into valleys. These valleys contain interconnected series of lakes that have become degraded over time. The document outlines interventions like lake and drain rejuvenation, increasing green cover and sustainable infrastructure to improve the environment.
