• The immediate result of belief is regular
reading and recitation of Qur’an. اب َي ْتلُو َن ُه َح َّق ِتاَل َو ِت ِه أُولَ ِئ َك ُي ْؤ ِم ُنونَ ِب ِه َ • الَّذِينَ آ َت ْي َنا ُه ُم ا ْل ِك َت َو َمنْ َي ْكفُ ْر ِب ِه َفأُو َل ِئ َك ُه ُم ا ْل َخاسِ ُرون • “Those to whom we have delivered the book, recite it as it ought to be recited. They are those who believe in the Book.” (Albaqarah: 121) • For reciting the holy book term ‘Tilaawat’ • Its recitation is an act of worship ِ س َر ِمنَ ا ْلقُ ْر • آن َّ َفا ْق َر ُءوا َما َت َي • “Read from the Holy Quran whatever you can with ease (Muzzammil v: 20) • Every day one must read some of the Qur’an. • “Allah likes things which are done regularly, even if little”. (Al-Bukhari & Muslim). • As He said: “The parable of the companion of the Qur’an is like a tethered camel; a man holds on to it so long as he attends to it, and it escapes if he TO UNDERSTAND THE QUR’AN
• Allah (swt) made Qur’an easy for
understanding. • س ْر َنا ا ْلقُ ْرآنَ ل ِِّلذ ْك ِر َف َهلْ مِنْ ُم َّدك ٍِرَّ َولَ َقدْ َي • “Indeed we have made Qur’an easy to understand Is there some one who gets admonished?” (Alqamar) • Qur’an is revealed with a purpose. ْ إِ َّن ُه لَ َق ْول ٌ َف • ِل.صل ٌ َو َما ه َُو ِبا ْل َه ْز • “Indeed! This is the decisive Word and it is purposeless.” (At’taariq) • This guidance is subject to understanding it. ِ ار ٌك لِ َيدَّ َّب ُروا آ َيا ِت ِه َولِ َي َت َذ َّك َر أُولُو اأْل َ ْل َبا • ب َ اب أَ ْن َز ْل َناهُ إِلَ ْي َك ُم َب ٌ ِك َت • “This is a Book which We have sent down to you, full of blessings, that they may ponder over its Verses, and that men of understanding may remember” • We should learn Arabic. • We should recite Qur’an with translation. • Two levels of understanding Qur’an. • 1.Tazakkur: It is to know the central idea of a section of Qur’an through a quick view. • 2.Tadabbur It is deep understanding with wisdom • ب أَ ْقفَالُها ٍ آن أَ ْم َعلَى قُلُو َ أَفَاَل يَتَ َدبَّ ُر َ ون ا ْلقُ ْر • “So why don’t they ponder over the Qur’an or if their hearts are sealed” (Mohammad: 47: 24) . TO ACT UPON THE GUIDANCE OF QUR’AN
• Believing, Reading and understanding Qur’an
would be beneficial if it is acted upon. • Qur’an has always joined لحFFاFF عملصwithیمانFا ِ ين آ َم ُنوا َو َع ِملُوا الصَّالِ َحا ت َ • َو ْال َعصْ ِر إِنَّ اإْل ِ ْن َس َ ان َل ِفي ُخسْ ٍرإِاَّل الَّ ِذ • A faith without practice of Qur’anic principles is not bene trustworthy. • “Whosoever makes legal what is forbidden in Qur’an does not believe in Qur’an.” (Tirmizi) ون • َو َم ْن َ ْلم َ ي ْح ُك ْم ِ ب َما َأ ْن َز َل ُهَّللا َ فأُولَئِ َك ُه ُم ْال َكافِ ُر َ. • “And whoever does not make decisions by what Allah has revealed then surely those )are non-believers” (Al-Maidah 44 • Total obedience is required. ُ ل ع َ ْ ف ي َ نْمَ ء ُ ا َ ز ج َ ا م َ فَ ض ٍ عْ ب َ ب ِ ونَ ر ُ ُ ف ْ ك َ ت وَ ِ ب اتَ ِ ك ْ ل ا ض ِ ع ْ ب َ ب ِ ونَ نُ ِ م ؤْ ُ ت َ ف َ • أ ي فِي ا ْل َح َيا ِة ال ُّد ْن َيا َو َي ْو َم ا ْلقِ َيا َم ِة ُي َردُّونَ إِ َلى أَ َ شدِّ َذلِ َك ِم ْن ُك ْم إِاَّل خ ِْز ٌ ا ْل َع َذاب TO CONVEY THE MESSAGE TO OTHERS
• Mohammad (saw) is the last of the prophets.
• Carrying the message of Allah (swt) to the rest of the mankind is obligatory on all Muslims. اس َتأْ ُم ُرونَ ِبا ْل َم ْع ُروفِ َو َت ْن َه ْونَ َع ِن ِ أ ُ َّم ٍة أ ُ ْخ ِر َج ْت لِل َّن.• ُك ْن ُت ْم َخ ْي َر ِ ا ْل ُم ْن َك ِر َو ُت ْؤ ِم ُنونَ ِباهَّلل • “You are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind, you enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong and believe in Allah” (Ale- Imran • Mohammed (saw) conveyed the message To Sahaba to which he made them witness in his last sermon during Hajjatul Widda: • “Now for those of you, who are present here should carry the message to those, who are not here.” • The individuals of Muslim Ummah are duty bound to this responsibility. • “Convey from me even if it be a single Ayah” (Bukhari)
