1. WHAT IS GEOGRPAHY?
1. Human Geography is the study of human activities and how the activities effect or are
influenced by the earth’s surface.
2. Physical Geography is the of earth’s natural features, that are not made by man but are
formed because of many natural process. It study includes the Earth’s seasons, climate,
atmosphere, soil, streams, landforms, and oceans.
3. Environmental Geography is the study of the interactions between humans or the human
society and their natural environment. It is the part of Geography that has the most active
collaboration between human and physical geographers, as they study the relationships
between environments and societies in places.

2. PLACE - the physical and human characteristics of a place that makes it unique.
Ex. Sydney opera house is a unique human characteristics of Sydney,
Austratlia.
4. MOVEMENT - refers to how people, goods and ideas move from place to place.
Ex. The smartphones that was first produced in China are now being used in
different countries.
4. REGION - refers to human and physical traits that distinguish one area from another.
Ex. Most of the Filipinos in the Mindanao areas are darker in color compare to
those from Luzon..
