FEDERALISM
• The meaning of Federalism is derived from the Latin root
foedus, which means “formal agreement or corenant.” it
includes the interrelationship between the states as well as
between the states and the federal government. Federalism is a
system of government where there is a clear demarcation of
power between two levels of government.

Constitutional Monarchy


System of government in which a monarch shares power with a
constitutionally organized government.

Parliamentary Democracy


Is democratic form of government in which the party with the greatest
representation in the parliament (legislature) forms the government.

ROLES OF YDPA
o Appoint a prime minister & to refuse a
prime minister’s request to dissolve the
Parliament.
o The YDPA can call a meeting with the
Conference of Rulers concerned solely
with the privileges, position, honours, &
dignities of Rulers.
o Has a significant rule in appointing an
attorney general & judges based on the
advice of the prime minister.

Bicameralism
• A bicameralism legislature divides the legislators into two separate assembles, chambers or house. Bicameralism
is distinguished from uncomeralism, in which all members deliberate & vote as a single group & from some
legislatures that have three or more separate assemblies, chambers or house.
