Information and Communication Technology in Libraries Introduction Library is an essential integral of any institution. Staff and students consult the library for their information needs. Students are expected to use the library for their study and research. Hence, the need to familiarize with the University of Ibadan Library (Kenneth Dike Library). Definition of Library Library can be referred to as a physical or virtual space where information needs could be satisfied. Library is referred to as an organized information system.
Library resources Printed resources: They are paper based information resources such as books, periodicals etc Electronic resources: They are types of information resources in digital format that could be read with the aid of computers or smart devices. Some of the examples are video tapes, CD-ROM, disc etc.
