PRODUCT
Maybank Visa Debit is an enhanced ATM (Automated Teller Machine) card. It can beused to withdraw cash from ATMs,
and at the same time function like a credit card. It canbe used to make purchases at merchant locations such as petrol
stations, grocery stores,
retail stores and restaurants, including overseas merchants and even on the Internet.When MAYBANK VISA DEBIT is used
to make purchases or cash withdrawals at ATMs,funds are deducted from the customer's account, directly accessing the
money in the customers' deposit accounts prevailing interest rate can be continued to be enjoyed on the Savings Account.

OPERANDI If you are self-employed:
(i)(ii) The amount of the FMF shall operate as a capping for the EMF and the ECAMF chargeable. In the event the
accrued EMF and/ or ECAMF exceeds the calculated amount of the FMF, we willonly charge EMF and ECAMF up to
theFMF amount;
(iii) We may at our discretion, at any timeand from time to time, grant you arebate (Ibra’), the amount of which
will be determined at our discretion.Without prejudice to such discretion,the amount of the rebate (Ibra’)
ifgranted may be determined on the difference between the FMF and the EMFand/or the ECAMF at the
relevant Statement Date when the EMF and/orECAMF on the Current Balance is lessthan the FMF.
Annual Fees
You agree to pay the Annual Fee and applicable tax for the Card (including, in the case
of aprincipal Card, all Supplementary Cardsissued). This Annual Fee shall be
determined,and may be varied, by us from time to time.The Annual Fee will be billed to
you asspecified in the relevant monthly statement..

Late Penalty
• 6.3 If the Minimum Payment is not received by us by
the Due Date, a late payment charge will be levied at
1% of the unpaid outstanding balance or RM10,
whichever is higher, up to a maximum of RM100.00.
PENALTY
• 6.4 We will apply any payment received from you in the
order of balances attracting the highest interest rate
to those attracting the lowest interest rate.
• 6.5 All payments by you to us may not be made subject
FEE
to any deduction (whether on the basis of any claim or
counterclaim or right of set-off you think you might
have against the Authorised Merchant, Authorised
Cash Outlet and/or us, or otherwise).
CONCLUSION
As a savvy consumer, security aspects should be taken into
account because “debit cards” are also vulnerable to the risk of
internet scammer where scammer can take information and
perform transactions directly from the main savings account. It
should be noted that no protection is provided for every
transaction using a debit card unlike a credit card.
