Who are qualified?
• Any Filipino learner willing and capable for self directed learning

• Prerequisite
– Submission of any of the following:
• High School Report Card in case of drop out
• Elementary Report Card/Certificate for high school entrants
• PEPT/A&E test qualifying certificate
– Passer of ILRT, IRI and other assessment mechanisms
– Pass Parent Interview
– Pass basic computer test( to be conducted later)
– Capable of independent study

How is Teacher loading being addresses?

• Class size is a maximum of 25 learners


• Two OHSP classes shall constitute a teaching load
• A teacher-adviser shall be assigned to a class in
order to provide support to the learner
• Class advisorship shall be considered as one
teaching load.
• An OHSP class can be opened even with less than 25
learners.

• In case of “late” enrollees, his/her inclusion to the enrollment of the
school shall be done in the following SY, however, regular students
transferred to OHSP are counted in the current SY.
• OHSP classes being alternative delivery mode shall not follow the
required number of school days (e.g. 205 to 180); Schedules of
Face to face sessions are clearly stipulated in the learning contract
which shall serve as attendance and participation/recitation.
• Selection of honors for OHSP uses the same grading and honor
system for the regular learners.
• Graduations are in the discretion of the school head.

How is OHSP useful in the context of
Emergencies?

OHSP in Emergencies
• OHSP facilitates completion of education of highschool
enrollees, who, in times of disasters, have to stop going to
school for the following reasons, among others:
• Movement to transitional shelters or relocation sites
• Loss of school materials like supplies and uniforms
• To help their parents earn money

• OHSP also facilitates continuous learning even when there


are not enough classrooms, teachers and learning
materials during disaster situations.
