Cyclones in the last 10 years
1. Cyclone Thane- Very severe cyclonic storm Thane, struck Pondicherry on 30th December 2011 and dissipated on 31st dec 2011

2. Cyclone Phailin- Extremely severe Cyclonic Storm Phailin, Struck Odisha on 11 th October 2013 and dissipated on 14th October
2013

3. Cyclone Hudhud- Extremely severe Cyclonic Storm Hudhud, Struck Vishakhapatnam on 12th October 2014 and dissipated on
14th October 2014

4. Cyclone Vardah- Very severe cyclonic storm Vardah, Struck Chennai on 11 th December 2016 and dissipated on 19th December
2016

5. Cyclone Fani- Extremely severe Cyclonic Storm Fani, Struck Odisha on 3 rd May 2019 and dissipated on 5th May 2019

6. Cyclone Amphan- Super Cyclone Amphan , Got really powerful in the bay of Bengal in 18 th May 2020 and dissipated on 21th
May 2020, And became the Costliest Cyclone In the North Indian Ocean Region.
