What is light design
•Lighting design: It is a process that is

part of any architectural and interior design project where the
designer has to know all the important aspects of lighting that
can influence a space.

Study about light
• Light is defined : The electromagnetic radiation with
wavelengths between 380 and 750 nm which is visible to the
human eye.
Artificial light: Artificial light, as opposed to natural light, refers to
any light source that is produced by electrical means. Artificial
lighting has many different applications and is used both in-home
and commercially. Artificial lights are available in a wide variety
of shapes, sizes, colors of light emitted, and levels of brightness.
The use of artificial lighting is crucial in agriculture and
gardening, particularly in indoor cultivation.
Study on basic use of light
•Ambient: These are called “general” or “ambient” because they are simply used to
make an interior space visible. They provide general lighting for a space and are sometimes
used to refer to natural, or existing light. Think of general/ambient light as natural light
combined with light coming from normal room lights.
•Task: Task lighting is directed lighting toward a specific area to give more detail to
objects and provide safe passage. Any close-range work such as cooking, sewing, drawing, and
writing should have task lighting—enough to see a flaws in canvas and clothing
•Accent: Accent lighting is used to “accentuate” features and add visual interest to an
object or area. It’s the extra special something that makes people go “oooh” and “aaahh.” Use
accent lights to add drama and change the mood of a room.
General Types of light
• Incandescent light bulb: this is the first light invented in the in the world this light
is very uh heat producing light and has had one color only this light is used to
give proper uh light area or proper light to a room.
• CFL light bulb: this type of lights are made in spiral way and these lights are little
warmer than the previous slide this light is used to give again the same or proper what
we say rubber light all over the house and this has different steps.
• LED light : LED light , also known as light emitting diodes, are the most cost effective
and energy efficient lighting options on the market.
Study of hall
• The hall in a house or flat is the area just inside the front door, into
which some of the other rooms open. [British] The lights were on
in the hall and in the bedroom. regional note: in AM, use entrance

• Color psychology of human is the study of how different colors
or combinations of colors affect human thoughts.
Psychological Effects of Colors and light on human

It can change our moods , thinking ;perfoemance,actions and cause
reactions.
Marketers and advertisers are well aware about utilizing color.
Color is consistently used in an attempt make people hungry , encourage
trust , feelings of calmness and in countless other ways .
Types of light need in hall
• Pendant light: A pendant light, sometimes called a drop or
suspender, is a lone light fixture that hangs from the ceiling
usually suspended by a cord, chain, or metal rod.
• Flush ceiling lights or recessed lights: Flush mount lighting sits
directly against the ceiling and shines light downward. Because
there's no space between the ceiling and the light itself, flush mount
lights are ideal in rooms with shorter ceilings and for keeping dust
and debris away from the bulb and shade. Recessed lighting has
pots usually inside the ceiling and carries the lamp holder into which
the bulbs are screwed. They provide good ambient lighting and
narrow beams.

• As we know that it is the world vide brand and people know that wit

About the Ambience
As the ambience is closed and small and it feels like so clumsy

But the atmosphere in the night time is so silent and happy
working . As the same feeling in the day time only one thing
was that it was having little light problem. As it is the closed
place then also they had provide proper ventilation and
because of the ac good air flow .

•Purpose of the light : As the ceiling light is used because is. As the use of the hanging in this cafe was
only for showcase. Track light where used to just highlight the photo frame .

• Placement of light: As there are 9 table and above the

light is pass through the pipe and then all the light are
connected. Hanging light as it also has the same process
only the outer structure keeps changing and we use bulb.
Track light are also same only they have the moving feature
How I rich the concept
• So I could understood that the place I have chosen is mainly use for some gust or for the
function or for relaxing . So I understood that according to Indian culture we need the decorative
lighting which is used for some basic use like function and enjoying . So I went into decorative .
• Then according to my brief I had to give the changing environment in the so I took the different
color rope which was giving me a cool and good look every time a person see the space.
