Introduction
• A management information system (MIS) is an
information system used for decision-making, and for the
coordination, control, analysis, and visualization of
information in an organization. The study of the
management information systems involves people,
processes and technology in an organizational context.
• MIS is a hierarchical subset of information systems. MIS
are more organization-focused narrowing in on
leveraging information technology to increase business
value. Computer science is more software-focused

MIS of ITM University
Our Management Information System was developed a
way back in 2014, that was commendable ideology at
that time. It is a game changing strategy for the path of
success because through the successful integration of a
Management Information System it helps in lot of ways
and it is doing so till now in our ITM University.
Our Management Information System is known as
“Prabandh”.

Prabandh is designed and developed and also maintained by
our university’s “ERP Cell”. It is developed by Mr. K D
Sharma (Assistant Software Developer), Mr. Gaurav Shelke
(Assistant Software Developer), Mr. Santosh Srivastava
(Android Developer), Mr. Aditya P Singh (Assistant
Software Developer) and Ms. Nisha Pathan (Assistant
Software Developer).
We can also conclude our Prabandh as MOOC our ITM
University. It has all models present to have a good and
fluent integration with the organization.
6
Improvements for Prabandh
Lack of Training and appreciation that the users of the
information and the generators of the data are different,
and they have to play an important responsible role in the
MIS.
7
Improvements for Prabandh Cntd...
Lack of administrative in following the standardized
systems and procedures, wrong coding and deviating from
the system specifications results in incomplete and
incorrect information.
The MIS does not give perfect information to all the users
in the organisation.
