We digitalized the process of man hours accounting at Dahej Plant


• Manual intervention is removed through digital platform
• We provide the QR code for direct access to the Microsoft form.
• After scanning QR code we redirect to the Form.
• These forms are in drop down list type and simple in nature with no
complication.
• Operator just have to select his name, salary code, project on which he is
working from the drop down list all the information is already filled inside the
form it self.
• Workers just have to fill the working hours for the respective project.
• Training for scanning of QR code and filling the form has been given during PEP
talk.
• QR code and form filling access is given at the Drawing display screen also can be
filled through the mobile phones after shift end (As during shift working time
mobile is not allowed on shop floor).

• Cost of Job card – Rs.0.68/each
• Job card Cost /day - Rs.55/day
• Job card cost/year (312 days) for Marking & cutting & Assembly Department– 17,160/year.

After horizontal deployment in all departments of PED.


• Total Number of workers in PED – 395 workers
• Total cards required/year – 123,240/year
• Job card cost/day- Rs.268.6/
• Job card cost/year- Rs.83,803/year

Results:

• Streamlined and digitized the man-hours recording format and deployed as a


pilot run to marking cutting, Assembly department, SPD operators.
• Developed a tailored excel dashboard for shop floor supervisors to track man
hours allocation in real time
• Data entry task of accounting department is reduced
• Digital data is available for further data analysis and achieved planned activity.
• Task of collecting job cards from every department is eliminated.
• Paper wastage is eliminated and job card cost saved.
