1# coin toss- This happens to determine who will serve first
.
#2 serving faults - A player tosses the ball into the opponent's' service box diagonally. They get 2 chances to serve and if
they miss the serve, they lose the point.

#3 player challenges - In tennis sport, a player has the ability to challenge a call the line judges make. Every player has
been provided with 2 sets of challenges.

#4 sets/games - A player must win 6 games to win the set and must win 4 points before the opponent wins the same.

#5 ranking system - Each player recieve ranking based on how they performed in a year.

#6 tiebreakers - if a match is tied, players are forced to decide the winner through a tiebreaker.

#7 duece- when a match is tied, it's called deuce

#8 doubles/ singles - In this sport, there are 2 set of competitions - competing again one another or 2 teams competing
against one another.

#9 ball boys/ girls - people who are running around the ground after the conclusion of a point picking up the ball. These
people are usually called ball boys and girls.

#10 chair umpire - who makes a call or fixes an issue that occurs during the match.
History of tennis

There’s a lot of tennis history, since the first ever match to the world record of more grand slams.

There has been much dispute over the invention of modern tennis, but the officially recognized centennial of the
game in 1973 commemorated its introduction by Major Walter Clopton Wingfield in 1873.

FOREHAND

For your forehand, use the same arm that you throw a ball with. The forehand swing is
performed while the palm of the dominant hand that is holding the racket faces
forward. Essentially, the tennis forehand is made by swinging the racket across one's
body in the direction of where one wants to land the ball.

Of course when talking about tennis we need a tennis racket to play

We also need a tennis ball (it would be better if it’s an official tennis ball because if it’s not it may not
work as it should)

Saying this might feel stupid but we need a field to play and th
can be all obvious you want but we need it.

The trophies,along with the wins of a player are what makes a player noticeable and feared, this are
the most famous trophies in tennis.

This trophies take part in the grand slam except for the Davis cup, being a team trophy by countries

Fitness tests to use to improve in tennis

For power:medicine ball throws/chin ups.


How to throw a medicine ball.
Hold a medicine ball firmly in each hand, and stand with your side several feet away from a
wall. Rotate your shoulders away from the wall, winding up in preparation for the throw. Then,
reverse direction, turn your shoulders and release the ball as fast as you can.

How to do a chin up: Hold a pull-up bar with your hands hip-distance apart and your palms
facing inwards. Then, taking as much time as you need, pull your body up with your arms and
your lats until your chin is just above the bar, and slowly lengthen your arms back down. You
should aim to bring your elbows into your sides
For speed and agility

Deadlifts and kettlebell swings.


How to deadlift:with your feet hip-width apart, grasp a barbell with an overhand grip outside your
knees. Keeping your chest out and back straight, pull the bar off the floor by extending your hips.
Keep the bar close to your body throughout the lift.

How to kettlebell swing:stand with your feet just a little wider than your hips and hold a kettlebell with
both of your hands in between your legs. Bend your knees slightly and swing the kettlebell back
between your legs, then quickly swing the kettlebell forward up to eye level while keeping your core
tight. It’s important to do the right amount of force so you don’t overwork your arms.
Endurance tests for tennis

For improving your endurance in tennis you should/must


1) Warm Up Before Playing. It's tough to jump right into a game, or even a drill! ...
2) Perform Speed Drills. At least a few times a week, try to perform speed drills, such as the spider

What can tennis courts be made of?
TENNIS FIELD The court is 23.77m long and for singles
matches, 8.23m wide. For doubles matches
the court is 10.97m wide.
The 11 types of tennis court surfaces are
acrylic, asphalt, concrete (called hard
courts), artificial clay, clay, hybrid clay
(clay courts), artificial grass, grass (grass
courts), carpet, and others like wood and
tile. However in the pro tournaments we
only see clay, hard and grass courts.

A tennis court is the venue where the sport of tennis is played. It is a


firm rectangular surface with a low net stretched across the centre.
