This course focuses on child and


adolescent development with
emphasis on current research and
theories on biological, linguistic,
cognitive, social and emotional
dimensions of development.
What is the definitions of child and
adolescent learners from UNICEF?
Defined by the United Nations as those
between the ages of 10 and 19, adolescents
experience a transition period between
childhood and adulthood and with its
significant growth and development. It’s
children up to the age of 18. Most
adolescents are protected under convection
of the rights of the child.

What is the importance of UNESCO in education?

their e education practitioners and officers in multiple fields,
including educational planning, curriculum design, data
collection and distance learning.

The United Nation Children’s Fund (UNICEF)
organically known as the “United Nations International
Children Emergency Fund”, was created by the United
Nations General Assembly on December 11, 1946, to
provide emergency food and healthcare to children and
mothers in countries that had been devastated by World
War II.
