of material and technologies.
OBJECTIVE
• The main objective is to find materials and various design techniques.
• To control the both indoor and outdoor environments through responsive building cladding in a ecological manner.
• To understand to upcoming new technology in cladding systems.
• Scope and limitations
METHODOLGY
• The report will be based on a study about developments and technique in cladding.

skin techniques.
INTRODUCTION
What is Cladding?
Cladding is the application of one material over another to provide a protection layer also used as aesthetic purpose.
Choices of cladding has a significant role on the environmental performance of a building. Wall Cladding protection
against weather elements, maintenance, insulation, durability, reduce the temperature variation of the inside building, improve
acoustic.

Artificial grass wall
Artificial grass wall - plant walls, living walls or vertical gardens)
Artificial Green Wall is a wall covered with artificial plant. It is a material made by weaving synthetic fibers on a firm
polypropylene or latex base to give a real look like natural grass.
Artificial Green walls have become a rising new trend of built environments in recent years. The artificial grass is used
as a replacement for the natural grass in the interior and exterior area, as they are having added advantages over real grass.
Interior :
They are used to cover the balcony, terrace, gym center, indoor stadium, walls, over-tile skirting, patio, etc.
Exterior :
Artificial grass is used in lawns, landscaping the garden, outdoor stadiums, as a carpet in the swimming pool periphery, exterior
walls, backyard, etc.

Aluminium Composite panel
Aluminum composite panel is one of the widely used cladding material. Due to its lightweight nature and flexibility, it can be
easily installed. An aluminum composite panel is a building material that features a foam core surrounded by an outer
aluminum skin.
.
Where it can be use for?
•High dimensional stability- the composite panel does not present deformations in its dimensioning, The material remains
stable whatever its size without losing its properties
Fully recyclable - panel can be fully recycled and reused.
Light as a feather - The low density of aluminum makes it the ideal material for facades
Quick and easy assembly- Easy to install and designed to assembly of facades in a quick and easy way
Maintenance and Cleaning: They are easy to maintain and clean.
Durability: have to be replaced after 20 years.
Thin Sections: GFRC can be manufactured in thin sections without sacrificing strength, allowing for thinner
cladding panels or architectural elements.
Aesthetic Appeal: GFRC can mimic various natural materials such as stone, wood, or metal, providing a
wide range of design possibilities.
Weather Resistance : GFRC is highly resistant to weathering, UV radiation, and moisture, making it suitable
for exterior applications.

Leather wall faux panel
The Leather wall faux panel is inbuilt soft cushioning gives a sense of comfort as well as a feel of luxury to the décor.
3D Leather wall panels have a special 4 layer construction starting from -
Top layer –Fire Retardant PVC Board,
Second layer (filler) -waterproof Polyurethane;
Third layer – Faux (PU) Leather
Fourth layer - water resistant surface
Front side of the tile made out of waterproof PVC faux leather
FEATURES
Loose-lay flooring system that can be installed without glue or grout, reducing time and costs.
Suitable for temporary uses and where it is necessary to preserve the pre-existing flooring.
The system is made up of single-caliber porcelain stoneware slabs , squared and rectified, to
which a lower covering in cork is applied (a natural material that acts as acoustic insulation and
solves slight problems of irregularity of the substrate) and a perimeter border in PVC
(with anti-shock function). PORCELAIN STONEWARE panels can be installed directly on the
pre-existing surface

UNIQUE PROPERTIES
STENI Vision is a highly resistant material that maintains its technical properties under extreme
climatic conditions. These panels have excellent resistance against a variety of chemicals. Unique properties include:
Strength and Durability: The incorporation of glass fibers significantly enhances the tensile and
flexural strength of the concrete, making GFRC stronger and more durable than traditional concrete.
Lightweight: GFRC is lighter compared to traditional precast concrete, making it easier to handle and
transport.
Versatility in Design: GFRC allows for intricate shapes, textures, and designs due to its moldability
and flexibility.
Thin Sections: GFRC can be manufactured in thin sections without sacrificing strength, allowing for
thinner cladding panels or architectural elements.
Aesthetic Appeal: GFRC can mimic various natural materials such as stone, wood, or metal,
providing a wide range of design possibilities.
Weather Resistance: GFRC is highly resistant to weathering, UV radiation, and moisture, making it
suitable for exterior applications.
CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
Many projects can take time from conception to completion. Co-ordination between the architect and engineer in the early design stage is important
to ensure the choice of cladding works well and compliments the type of structure used, e.g curtain wall is matched correctly to the building structure
and anticipated wind loads. . The effect of knowledge on various ways or techniques on how to enclose a building has been tackled in early years but
with the help of technological changes towards industrial revolution invented new techniques of a building cladding. The new techniques were quick
and easy to cover up a building. Light prefabricated materials were used for the construction such as Fibers, aluminum panels and woods etc. The
curtain wall system was constructed in a way that it carried no weight other than its own weight but encloses the building structure. In spite of the
curtain wall, some techniques were made for installation of the curtain wall system. The curtain wall type with different installation processes included
the stick type, unitized type, panelized type, spandrel panel type, structural sealant type and structural glazing type. Aluminum composite panels
However even with advances in technology where it has become more diverse and offers a range of finishes new materials often prove better than it
as a choice for public buildings, such as sports centers. However by coupling it with a timber cladding system the two systems will interact and
complement each other creating a building with a modern yet natural look to it, especially in concrete buildings that are often bulky and bland
looking.
Summer (Hot and Dry):
Terracotta: Terracotta cladding offers excellent insulation properties, keeping the interiors cool during hot summers. It is durable and has a natural
aesthetic appeal.
Fiber Cement: Fiber cement cladding is resistant to heat and can withstand harsh sunlight. It helps in maintaining a cooler indoor environment.
Monsoon (Wet and Humid):
UPVC (Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride): UPVC cladding is water-resistant, making it ideal for monsoon seasons. It prevents water penetration and
helps protect the building from moisture damage.
Fiber Cement: Fiber cement cladding is also suitable for monsoon as it is resistant to water, rot, and fungal growth.
Winter (Cool to Cold):
Stone Veneer: Stone veneer cladding provides excellent insulation during colder months and helps in retaining heat indoors. It adds a natural and
rustic look to the building.
Brick: Brick cladding is a good option for winter as it has high thermal mass, which means it absorbs heat during the day and releases it slowly at
night, helping to maintain a comfortable temperature indoors.
