    2. Solution Overview – Why

    • In the 5G era, UE power consumption is increasing.


    • 5G provides higher bandwidths than LTE, which also increases UE power consumption.
    • A bandwidth part (BWP) with small bandwidth can reduce UE power consumption.

    Recommended Scenario

     This function is enabled when UE power saving is required.

    Feature Activation

     Select the BWP2_SWITCH option of the BwpPwrSavingSw parameter.

    Feature Deactivation

     Deselect the BWP2_SWITCH option of the BwpPwrSavingSw parameter.
