TOEIC stands for "Test of English for International

Communication." It is a standardized English language proficiency


test designed to assess the English language skills of non-native
speakers in a business and workplace context. The TOEIC exam
measures listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills to
determine an individual's ability to communicate effectively in an
international business environment. It is widely used by

It consists of two main sections


TOEIC Listening and Reading (TOEIC L&R):

is scored on a scale of 10 to 990 points.

specialized terminology related to various industries.

• Inference: Be able to make logical inferences based on the information provided in the text.

• Skimming and Scanning: Develop the ability to skim through a passage to get a quick
overview and to scan for specific details efficiently. This skill is crucial for saving time
during the test.

• Understanding Organization: Recognize the structure of different types of texts, such as


problem-solution, cause-effect, and chronological order, to aid comprehension.

• Practice with Different Accents: The TOEIC may include speakers with various

audio materials.

• Review Your Answers: After completing the listening tasks, review your answers to

TOEIC Speaking and Writing (TOEIC S&W):

This section assesses your speaking and writing abilities. It involves


speaking tasks like describing pictures and answering questions, as
well as writing tasks like composing emails or reports. The TOEIC
S&W is scored on a scale of 0 to 200 points.
Speaking Skills :

• Pronunciation: Work on clear and accurate pronunciation. Ensure that you articulate
words and phrases distinctly so that you can be easily understood.

• Fluency: Aim to speak confidently and naturally. Avoid long pauses and excessive filler
words like "um" and "uh."

• Clarity and Cohesion: Express your ideas clearly and coherently. Organize your spoken
responses logically with a clear introduction, body, and conclusion.

• Appropriate Vocabulary: Use a range of vocabulary relevant to the topics presented in the
speaking tasks. Avoid overly complex or technical language that may confuse the listener.
