Overview of National Health Claims Exchange
 NHCX is a standardized health claim platform to enable automation of the health claim-
related information exchange between payers, providers, beneficiaries, and other relevant
entities.
 Providers are Hospitals, Clinics Diagnostic Centers, Labs, Pharmacies whoever are Care Providers
 Beneficiaries are those covered under PMJAY Scheme, Insurance Policies
 Payers- SHA, Insurers , TPA as applicable

Key use cases that will happen through NHCX on

1. Check Coverage eligibility- Providers can check the eligibility of a beneficiary with the payors
2. Preauthorization Request Submission: Providers can submit the Preauth request of a beneficiary with the
payors

3. Predetermination Request Submission- Providers can submit the Predetermination Request of a claim with
the payers

4. Claim Request Submission - Providers can submit the Claim Request of a beneficiary with the payors

5. Payment Notice- Payers to submit the Payment status of a claim with the providers

6. Communication Request Submission - Payers can communicate the remarks of a claim/preauth with
providers

7. Reprocess Request- Providers to request payers to reprocess the claim when it is partially paid or rejected
by the claim processing officer

processing in India.
