•Demographics: Age groups (children, adults,
elderly), gender, occupation, income levels.
•Geographic Location: Rural vs. urban, specific
areas with high unmet eye care needs.
•Health Needs: Prevalence of common eye
conditions such as cataracts, refractive errors,
glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy.
Analyzing Key Factors
1) Resources:
Financial Resources: Budget allocation, funding
sources (government, NGOs, private donors).
Human Resources: Ophthalmologists, optometrists,
volunteers, support staff.
Medical Equipment: Availability and quality of
diagnostic and surgical tools.
Medications and Eyewear: Stock of necessary drugs
and glasses.

1) Early Setup: Arrive early to set up stations. Test all
equipment to ensure functionality.
2) Registration Desk: Place the registration desk at the
entrance.Ensure volunteers are ready with forms and
badges.
3) Station Layout: Clearly mark and separate different
stations (registration, screening, consultation,
etc.).Ensure proper signage and directions.
4) Crowd Control: Use barriers or ropes to manage
queues.Assign volunteers to manage the flow of patients
between stations.
Sustainability and Follow-up
Continuous Care: Arrangements for follow-up
treatments or referrals to hospitals.
Training Programs: Educating the local for ongoing
eye care services.

1 ) Pre-Camp Preparation : Secure a venue and


ensure it has adequate space for different stations
(registration, screening, consultation, treatment, and
post-op care). Arrange for tents, chairs, tables, and
signage.
2) Permits and Permissions: Obtain necessary
permits from concern incharges. Inform statutory
bodies in case of public place events.

detailed roles and responsibilities for each team
member. Arranging training sessions for volunteers on
