Introduction
• A robotic dog in the military is a mechanical and autonomous canine-like machine designed to assist soldiers
and perform various tasks. These robotic dogs are equipped with sensors, cameras, and communication
systems, allowing them to navigate rough terrains, detect explosives, and carry supplies in dangerous
environments.
• They help reduce human risk in combat situations and enhance the effectiveness of military operations by
offering mobility and remote control. These robotic dogs are increasingly utilized for their endurance, and
adaptability in scenarios where human intervention may be hazardous or impractical.

1 DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT STUDY OF PICK 2023 Development of mechanism at low cost with
AND PLACE MECHANIZED SYSTEM the study of space availability and application.
The design is mechanized for proposed work
within given constraints.

2 DEVELOPMENT OF SURVEILLANCE 2023 The designed robot continuously monitors a

ROBOT BASED ON FACE RECOGNITION defined area and provides live streaming
USING RASPBERRY-PI video when human motion is detected.
Thanks to the face recognition algorithms, the
proposed surveillance robot can identify
whether the detected person is familiar or
unfamiliar.

3 GAS LEAKAGE DETECTION USING 2022 When the gas is leaked into the pipeline, it
INSECT ROBOT detects the location and sends a message, as
shown in Fig 8. It sends the google map link of
the exact gas detection location with the
sender and receiver’s numbers.

4 Implementation of behaviour based 2020 successfully implemented a wide range of sight and smell
robot with sense of smell and sight capabilities on mobile robots. However, these capabilities
were being implemented separately and then combined
together in an offline manner for data analysing.
Successfully implemented algorithm-based and
behaviour-based mobile olfaction robots guided by visual
sensing system on the integrated testbed.

5 GPS BASED AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE 2015 An autonomous vehicle tracking robot

NAVIGATION IN ROBOTICS ALONG platform has been successfully designed. It is mainly
WITH DIRECTIONALITY focused on to move the vehicle in places where
human survival is not possible. The robot platform
was tested to be fully functional. It has proven that
the mobile robot successfully finds its path between
its start location and its destination depending on the
information from the GPS and the Gyroscope
Problem Statement

• In an organizations / military organizations rely on biometric systems for various

purposes, but these systems become ineffective when personnel are injured,
compromising security and identification processes.

• Face recognition is employed when traditional physical security measures fall

short, or as a choice for identifying individuals based on facial features. Despite
its significance, the adoption of face recognition technology in military
organizations remains limited.
Problem Statement

• In factories or industrial settings, chemical combustion poses a risk of severe skin

burns, preventing personnel from safely entering affected rooms or buildings.

• In a fire incident, a person cannot enter the building, which can result in
severe skin burns.
Objectives

• Face Recognition: By using image processing for accurate face recognition,

identification and tracking.

• Sniffing Capability: detecting hazardous materials and giving an alert message

for enhancing safety and situational awareness.
Objectives

Room Mapping: provides grid indoor map of the environments detected by sniff parameter .

Wireless Communication: Enable seamless communication between the robot and its operator,
by providing real-time updates and mission coordination
Methodology adopted
Face Recognition: Utilizing image processing, the dog identifies and categorizes faces within its field of view,
providing valuable surveillance data.
