What Are Coronaviruses?

Coronaviruses are a big family of different viruses. Some of them cause

the common cold in people. Others infect animals, including bats, camels,
and cattle.
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the
SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate
respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.
However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention.
Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like
cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are
more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with COVID-
19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.
COVID-19 Origins
There are two hypotheses as to COVID-19's origins: exposure to
an infected animal or a laboratory leak. There is not enough
evidence to support either argument.

The virus that causes COVID-19 is called SARS-CoV-2, or severe

acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The disease caused by
the SARS-CoV-2 virus was originally called the 2019 novel (new)
coronavirus. The shortened name is COVID-19.

Virus names are based on their genetic structure. The virus that
causes COVID-19 was given the name SARS-CoV-2 because it is
genetically similar to the virus that caused the 2003 SARS
outbreak
COVID-19 Origins
You should use scientific language when referring to
coronavirus disease and avoid offensive terms such as
“Wuhan flu” or “Chinese flu,” which have led to a rise in
anti-Asian racism and violence. It is also not correct to call
COVID-19, which has killed nearly 7 million people
worldwide as of late 2023, the flu. Coronavirus disease is
not caused by a flu (influenza) virus.
How COVID-19 spread?
• Via Droplet
Droplets are liquid or splashes of water that come out of the
respiratory tract when someone coughs or sneezes. Risk of
transmission of the COVID-19 virus through droplet will
increase drasticallys

• Through Physical Contact

Physical contact such as shaking hands is one medium for
transmitting COVID-19, because we never know how many
germs, viruses and bacteria are on our hands and those of
the person we are talking to.
How COVID-19 spread?
• Through Contaminated Surfaces
Transmission of the COVID-19 virus can occur when someone
touches items that may have been contaminated by other people's
droplets. Then, the virus moves to the nose, mouth or eyes of the
person
• Crowded place
Avoiding crowded places is one of the many things you can
do carried out to reduce transmission. Places filled with
people are at high risk because they can allow this to happen
Conclusion
So the covid-19 is a virus that can kill some people.
The virus that causes COVID-19 is called SARS-CoV-2
covid-19 first detected in Wuhan China. There are allegations that it
comes from bats which are used as a basic food ingredient, and
some say it is a biological weapon from China

Covid-19 has been killed nearly 7 million people

worldwide as of late 2023. Also covid-19 It has the same
spread as flu; Via Droplet,Through Physical
Contact,Through Contaminated Surfaces,Crowded place.
