    At the end of the lesson, the students should be

    • Identify different kinds of adverbs.
    • Construct sentences using adverbs.
    • Use adverbs in writing a narrative text.

    ADVERBS

    Adverbs of Degree
    Adverbs of Reason or
    Purpose
    Adverbs of Affirmation
    Adverbs of Negation
    Tell us the degree or extent to which something
    happens. They answer the question "how much?"
    or "to what degree?".
    Adverbs of Degree can modify verbs, adjectives,
    and other adverbs.
    EXAMPLE

    He drove quite dangerously.

    She likes my dress and my bag very


    much.

    Tell the reason behind the happening of a
    particular occurrence. They answer the question
    “why?”.

    Talk about a level of certainty the speaker has.
    They add more information and describe the verb
    in more detail.
