working collaboratively with

changes because it mobilizes
resources, influence systems,
and strengthens social
relationships.
Solidarity
Refers to the idea of unity or
feeling of agreement among
individuals with a common
interest.
It is an overarching sentiment
of mutual support, trust, and
harmony among individuals
within a group.
It stimulates a sense of
obligation among individuals
in a group to pursue the
objectives and goals of the
community.
Solidarity is the adhesive the
strengthens the links among
people in a community.
Citizenship
Characterizes the relationship
between a citizen and a
political community.
This is indicated by a citizen’s
involvement in state affairs,
with respect to its economic
and social processes,
institutions, laws, rights, and
responsibilities.
Community Action
A collective action by the
community for the purpose of
arresting a crisis, addressing a
challenge, solving a problem, or
accomplishing a specific
outcome.
Consultation, education, public
participation, and partnership
building with the government.
Community development
Capacity of the people to work
together to address their
common interests.
It requires an integrative
approach to systematically
assess the problem, capacitate
the community and solve the
problem.
