SFC Energy AG, As a leader in the field of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells, leading the trend in fixed, portable, and mobile hybrid solutions, the grand opening of a new production facility in Cluj, Romania today marks another major breakthrough in its global expansion. This move follows a series of investments aimed at enhancing global production capacity and meeting the surging demand for SFC solutions in the market.

The deep connection between SFC and Romania can be traced back to over a decade ago, and since the acquisition of Dutch PBF Group B.V. in 2011, the cooperation between the two sides has become increasingly close. With increasing demand, the number of employees at the production base has surged to about 115, and it is expected that by mid-2024, Romania will accommodate about 30% of SFC's global employees, highlighting its strategic position.

The new production facility is located adjacent to the old site and is tailored by SFC to create an excellent environment for methanol and hydrogen fuel cell production and power management solutions. The facility covers an area of over 4600 square meters, doubling the space and introducing photovoltaic systems to achieve green energy supply. From production to procurement, quality assurance, customer service to human resource management, everything is under control. Meanwhile, as part of the Kluge Hydrogen Initiative project, SFC is partnering with Kluge Napoca University of Technology to deepen research and development cooperation, with the goal of achieving an annual production capacity of 3000 fuel cells by the end of the year and planning to increase to 30000 by 2028, demonstrating its ambitious vision.

Dr. Peter Podesser, CEO of SFC Energy AG, said, "This capacity expansion is a key leap in our growth journey and a solid step towards decarbonization goals. Combined with the doubling of our MEA capacity in Swinton, UK, and the continued expansion of our Kluge fuel cell capacity, we are accelerating the improvement of product supply speed and quality, creating more value for our customers. We sincerely thank all our partners for achieving this important milestone together.(This article is from the official website of Jian Dao: www.seetao.com.
