New Year new Selena Gomez! Only a few days into 2022 and the pop star has already reinvented her look. Out with the old (shaggy, caramel-flecked waves) and in with the new (a glossy asymmetrical bob).
The straight-edge chop is peak early 2000s. It's giving Juicy Couture sweatsuits and Blackberry phones. It's giving Victoria Beckham circa '08. It's giving "may I speak to a manager"—but, like, to compliment their makeup and tell them they're doing a great job. What I mean to say is, Selena is absolutely owning this throwback look.
Though her cut is giving everything it needs to (as previously stated), it seems to be temporary. In November, Selena soft-launched the new hairstyle on her Instagram with a very casual mirror selfie, then went right back to her natural strands.
This time around, though, we're getting the bob in alllll of her glory: with a chic side-part and subtly sexy makeup. A great way to start of 2022, imo!
