Ja'Marr Chase On Cold Practices: 'If The Quarterback Says That We Need To Be Outside, Then We Gotta Be Outside'
CINCINNATI — The Bengals practiced in the elements on Thursday, but if it were up to wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, they probably would've practiced inside.
Quarterback Joe Burrow had a louder say, according to Chase.
"We practiced outside today, actually in the cold. So you know I'd rather be inside, but if the quarterback says that we need to be outside—then we gotta be outside, and so that's what it is."
Our own James Rapien asked Zac Taylor who prompted the outdoor practice on Thursday: Taylor or Burrow?
"I wanted to practice outside today, and so were outside today," Taylor said with a laugh.
The Bengals are playing in temperatures near the teens on Sunday night, something Chase knew he'd have to be ready for leaving college in the south.
"Once I got drafted here, I had no choice but to be ready for the cold, but I go out there and have fun," Chase said.
