STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Elizabeth Hill, 87, a longtime New Brighton resident and a retired nurse's aide, died Thursday at home.
Born and raised in Norfolk, Va., she lived there until she moved to New Brighton in 1963.
Mrs. Hill worked as a nurse's aide at Sea View Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home until retiring in 1979.
She was a longtime member of the Raritan Temple Elks Lodge #218, Mariners Harbor.
Mrs. Hill loved to cook. She also enjoyed playing bingo and taking trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
Surviving are her daughters, Carol Pinder, Elaine Pearson and Clarise Floyd; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in New Brighton Church of God in Christ. Burial will follow in Silver Mount Cemetery, Silver Lake. Arrangements are being handled by the Stradford Funeral Home, Concord.
