Conway's Game of Life is like a grid-based game where each square can be alive or dead. Imagine starting with a mix of some squares alive and others dead. The game follows a few simple ideas to decide what happens next.
If a square is alive and has very few or too many alive neighbors, it dies in the next round. If it has just the right number of neighbors, it stays alive. If a dead square has exactly three alive neighbors, it comes to life. You begin with an initial pattern and watch it evolve over time. Sometimes the pattern stays the same, sometimes it repeats, and sometimes it moves around the grid. The game is all about seeing how these simple rules create interesting and often surprising patterns as the game progresses.
1. Underpopulation: Any live cell with fewer than two live neighbors dies.
2. Survival: Any live cell with two or three live neighbors lives on to the next generation.
3. Overpopulation: Any live cell with more than three live neighbors dies.
4. Reproduction: Any dead cell with exactly three live neighbors becomes a live cell.
