History of SISHK
Singapore International School (Hong Kong) was first established in September 1991 in Kennedy Town with an enrolment of 200 pupils with the support of the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore.
In 1995, SISHK moved to its current premises in Aberdeen. The new purpose-built school was built on land granted by the Hong Kong government and the cost of the building was borne by the Singapore Government.
In 2012, our secondary campus was officially opened, connected to the primary campus by a link-bridge.

1991
Established in September 1991 in Kennedy Town, with an enrolment of 200 PY & Primary pupils, SISHK offered bilingual education with English and Chinese languages.
1995
The location moved to Aberdeen from Kennedy Town.
The new purpose-built school was built on land granted by the Hong Kong government, and the cost of the building was supported by the Singapore Government.
2002
School extension project to build additional facilities to cater to developmental needs with partial funding from MOE.
2006
Celebration of the school’s 15th anniversary.
2009
Secondary section decanted operations to the former premises of Wanchai School.
2010
SISHK become an authorised Cambridge IGCSE Centre in October.
2011
SISHK become an authorised International Baccalaureate World School offering the IB Diploma.
The school now offers a through-train programme from preparatory years to pre-university levels.
2012
In 2012, our secondary campus was officially opened, connected to the primary campus by a link-bridge.
As of August 2012, SISHK has students enrolled across 14 levels, from PY1 to DP2.
2013
Preparatory Years and Primary Campus upgrading project started.
First batch of IB Diploma students graduated and did well in the IB Diploma examinations.

Celebrates our school’s rich 25-year heritage of academic excellence and the ties that bind our community together as both past and present students and faculty members send their best wishes and aspirations for our school.
2017
SISHK has an enrolment of approximately 1,400 pupils from more than 20 nationalities with Singaporeans and Hong Kong citizens.
