Davao City Itinerary, Backpacking in Region 10, 11, BARMM

Davao City is the center of Mindanao, so it serves as the gateway to the different provinces in the region. With that in mind, culturally speaking, the city showcases the mixture of the different cultures and traditions of Christians, Muslims, and other minorities. Regardless of their beliefs, the people unite, create, and nourish the city as their home. Though it is highly urbanized, behind the structures and commercial establishments are hidden tourist spots and destinations waiting to be uncovered. Let us discover some of the must-visit.

How to Get to Davao City:

  1. By Air: Book a flight from Manila to Davao International Airport. Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Air Asia have their regular flights to DVO.
  2. From the airport, take a taxi to Ecoland Bus Terminal.
  3. From there, you can ride a bus, van, or jeepney to your destinations.

This is Day 6 and 7 – 7 Days Solo-Backpacking in Mindanao
Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Lanao del Sur (BARMM)

In this journey, this is my second trip to Davao City and it's my exit back to Manila. Day 6 started by visiting the stunning Awao Falls in Davao de Oro. Instead of staying there, I rode on a bus to Davao City, where I stayed at the D'Morvie Suites in San Pedro. Paid 448 Pesos for an overnight stay. It's budget-friendly and looks clean, but cockroaches are roaming. Stayed here a couple of times, but this issue is not fixed yet. In the evening had dinner at Bankerohan Market and bought some supplies and fruits. Walked back to the hotel. Tidy up. Rested. The next day is my last day (Day 7). Watched some local news and had breakfast at Bankerohan. Headed back to the hotel. Bathed and started a short tour in the city.
