The Lull’s relatively thin comfort layer, coupled with the bounce of its transition layer, leads to slightly more motion transfer than some all-foam models.
While the 1.5-inch layer of memory foam absorbs some motion, thicker comfort systems tend to isolate motion to a greater extent. Since the transition layer has a latex-like quality to give the bed more bounce, this could also contribute to additional motion transfer.
Most sleepers are unlikely to find this motion transfer significant enough to interfere with their sleep, but individuals who awaken more easily might notice it more.

Answer a few questions to find the right mattress for your unique needs
Sleeping Style and Body Weight
Side Sleepers
A memory foam comfort layer and conventional foam transition layer work together to adjust to a side sleeper’s curves. While their hips and shoulders can sink in enough to relieve pressure points, most individuals should experience enough support to keep their spine aligned.
Side sleepers who weigh 230 pounds or less are most likely to experience a strong balance of cradling and support. Individuals who weigh over 230 pounds may sink in a little more deeply, especially around their hips. Because of this, they could experience more pressure points and they may find it more difficult to maintain their spinal alignment.
Back Sleepers
The Lull’s medium firm feel contributes to an even plane that may appeal to back sleepers who weigh under 130 pounds. Thanks to its relatively thin comfort layer, individuals in this weight group should not sink in very far before getting the support they need from the transition layer and polyfoam core. This should minimize sinkage near the sleeper’s hips, which may be beneficial for spinal alignment.
Back sleepers who weigh more than 130 pounds will also likely experience a relatively even surface without too much sagging near their hips. However, some sleepers may find their midsections sink in slightly more than ideal, especially if they carry extra weight in this region.
Stomach Sleepers
The Lull may not be firm enough for some stomach sleepers. Individuals who weigh over 130 pounds may experience some drooping near their hips and bellies, and this could make it harder to keep their spines aligned.
Stomach sleepers who weigh under 130 will probably experience a better blend of plushness and support. The memory foam layer cushions the surface, while the conventional foam transition layer limits the amount of sinkage.

Mattress Performance
In addition to the hands-on feedback from our team, we conduct a number of quantitative tests in our Test Lab. The below ratings are based on the experience of our testers.
Lull Mattress Review Breakdown
The Lull comes in one firmness option: medium firm (6). This firmness is within the range sleepers tend to prefer, so it should feel comfortable to most individuals regardless of their weight and preferred sleep position.
A cover constructed of polyester and rayon wraps around the mattress. This material is crafted for stretch to allow it to move with the mattress without restricting it.
The 1.5-inch memory foam comfort layer shapes to the sleeper’s body to relieve pressure points, while its gel infusion helps pull away heat. A 1.5-inch transition layer of conventional foam has latex-like qualities, giving both support and bounce. Structural reinforcement comes from the 7-inch polyfoam core, which is engineered for strength and durability.

Trial, Warranty, and Shipping Policies
The Lull Mattress can be shipped within the United States. It is sold on the Lull website and through Amazon. Different return policies apply to orders from Amazon.
Lull mattresses ship free within the contiguous United States. Shipping charges apply for orders to Alaska and Hawaii, but Lull subsidizes these costs.
Mattresses usually arrive 1-4 business days after the order is placed. They ship compressed via FedEx, and customers will receive a tracking number. The box measures 21 inches by 21 inches by 44 inches, so it is approximately the size of a mini-fridge. Customers are responsible for moving the mattress to the bedroom of choice, unboxing it, and setting it up.
Lull recommends unpacking the mattress right away. It should not stay in the box for more than 3 weeks. The mattress expands primarily within the first 2-5 hours after unpacking. It should finish expanding within 24 to 48 hours.
At this time, Lull does not offer White Glove delivery or old mattress removal.
Lull gives customers a 365-night sleep trial to try the mattress at home. This trial does not include a mandatory break-in period of any kind. If customers choose to return the mattress, Lull will send a courier to pick it up and then issue a full refund. Returned mattresses are either donated or recycled.
Lull has a lifetime limited warranty that vows to either repair or replace mattresses with eligible defects at the company’s discretion for as long as the original owner retains possession.
This warranty applies to the original mattress owner when purchased from an authorized distributor. To qualify, issues must not have occurred due to the use of an improper foundation, misuse, or abuse. Covered defects include indentations over 1.5 inches, manufacturing flaws in the zipper cover, and physical flaws in the cover’s construction.
Maintain a copy of your receipt and/or your confirmation email as proof of purchase. Lull bears all costs – including shipping and handling – during the first 10 years of ownership if the mattress develops a defect and needs to be repaired or replaced. After 10 years, owners pay a flat transportation fee of $75 for mattress replacements. Additional terms and conditions apply.
