Earth materials that have been left in a particular location as a result of an earth process that drops sediment that were suspended in the air, water, or ice (noun). –OR 2. To leave material (verb). • Erode (erosion): To remove earth materials from one place and transport them to another, commonly by moving water or wind. • Floodplain: The relatively low area on either side of a river that becomes covered with water when the river rises above the banks. • Weathering:The breakup of rock caused by mechanical or chemical processes. • Earth Processes: Actions that occur on the earth’s surface and inside the earth.
