Example 1 40 year old female Morbidly obese Bilateral Entheseal Calcification – Pain when walking - Specialist recommended non-weight bearing activity only Physio administered Lithotripsy treatment for 6 sessions – increased dorsiflexion SJP Personal Training administered recommended non-weight bearing activity until Specialist & Physio agree it can be introduced. SJP Personal Training administered activities such as myo-fascial release and stretching in order to reduce stress of tissues at injury site, and multi-directional balance to strengthen surrounding tissues.   Client is now able to perform any activity, with the exception of running (although given further weight loss this may be possible), for extended periods, pain free. This client reports that the combination of all therapies involved is the reason she has made such significant progress.
Example 2 40 year old female Pain in left hip and knee – referred to Podiatrist for orthotics SJP Personal Training administered a Corrective Exercise Programme (see What do I do? Presentation) focussing on both LPHC and foot / ankle (combination of patient home programme and SJP) Client reports reduced general pain Completed 26 mile Moonwalk and 5k run within 2 weeks of each other – no reported hip or knee pain, just general excessive muscle soreness!
Example 3 77 year old female Referred from Osteopath Bilateral Total Knee Replacement & Unilateral Total Hip Replacement, Osteoarthritis in Lumbar Spine, Suffered Back Pain for 40 years, Oral Pain Killers Taken 3-4 times Daily for Back & Knee Pain SJP Personal Training administered a programme of core strengthening in lying, sitting and standing, stretching, multi-directional balance and knee strengthening. Many activities in the context of daily living such as walking up/down stairs. Standing out of /sitting in a chair. Client no longer reporting back pain and only taking pain killers in late evening. Client reports moving quicker/easier and walking much easier. Client now moves up/down stairs naturally, not one at a time.
