Dr Toh Chin Chye was minister for health from 1975 to 1981. He retired from politics in 1988. Dr Toh Chin Chye was the party chairman from 1951 to 1981. He served as Deputy Prime Minister when Lee Kuan Yew formed the government in 1959. I chose him because he created the symbols for theState crest, State Anthem and the State Flag. Dr Toh Chin Chye
