After School Snack Board

Today we are sharing a great after school snack idea for busy kids and families! My kids come home from school hungry and ready to snack. An After School Fruit Snacks Board is a fun way to give the children in your life a special treat. Welch’s®Fruit Snacks are America’s Favorite Fruit Snacks and because fruit is the 1st ingredient, parents love them as a snacking choice. They are also the perfect addition to an after school snack board. I think most kids look forward to a familiar snack and a little downtime before jumping into homework and after school activities.

The back to school season can be so hectic and busy with sports, new homework routines, and getting back into having a structured day. An After School Snack Board should be fun, enticing

and filled with things your kids enjoy. Ever since my kids were little, I’ve always organized their snacks in an easy-to-see way. When they say, “Mom, can I have a snack?” I know they have various options they can see and grab themselves. It helps us both feel independent, so it’s a win/win!

I imagine that getting back into the swing of homework won’t be easy, so after school snacking needs to be! Since Welch’s Fruit Snacks are made with Real Fruit, you can really taste the difference. To make an After School Fruit Snacks Board like this, I think it’s fun to have a variety of flavors on hand to give my kids more choices. Find all the wonderful Welch’s Fruit Snacks HERE

Summer always seems to fly by! Doesn’t it feel like summer break never lasts long enough, especially when you were a kid? If I could have it my way, I’d magically double the lazy care-free days of summer. But, the end of one good thing marks the beginning of another…

It’s incredible how simple yet amazing snack time can be when children are given the opportunity to explore and discover new things to eat. I’ve learned that my kids are really good at trying new things when I present food in a fun and creative way, like on a snack board.

For today’s snack board, I started with a few varieties of Welch’s Fruit Snacks. Next, I added some fresh popcorn, white chocolate chips, granola, and apple slices. Combined with a cup of ice-cold water, hungry bellies are bound to be thrilled to pick through a snack board like this! Consider using any cutting board or any tray or large plate you have. Begin by layering the Welch’s Fruit Snacks, then add the additional food that you have planned. This is an after school snack that several kids in the neighborhood can enjoy. We often find lots of kids at our house, and we love it that way! I found that leaving this tray of fruit snacks out where the kids could see them make things easier when everybody wants to eat. With so many kiddos in the house, I know that Welch’s Fruit Snacks are always mom-approved. 🙂

This school year we are bound to be busier than ever before. I guess it must be the age? We have a new 3rd grader and a new 4th grader. They both have found sports that they have gravitated towards and prefer to dedicate more of their time to. That means three dance classes per week for Stella this year! Mitch has decided that he wants to focus on golf this year which means that he will be out on the course, putting green, or driving range as often as possible. We’re also starting a homework club to hopefully help accelerate their academic accomplishments. We are eager to get the new school year started!
