Sonic Prime's Grim Sonic Is Coming To Sonic Forces Speed Battle!

Sonic Prime's third season is almost here! You may remember Grim Sonic, a metallic character created by Nine that has been getting teased in previews and footage of the new season. Well, thanks to an in-game event that will be running next week, you'll soon be able to play as the character in Sonic Forces Speed Battle, just in time for the new Sonic Prime episodes!

Of course, Grim Sonic, as with all characters in the game, has his own unique ability and stats. His unique ability is called "Grimions", which SEGA Hardlight says involves the robot sending an army of robot minions forward. These minions will explode on impact with other players and slow them down. Only Grim Sonic can use that ability, so when you're able to play as him, you can use that to your advantage.

As for Grim Sonic's stats, as you can see from the in-game screenshot above, speed is his strongest stat for obvious reasons. He's good in acceleration as well, but his weakness is his strength. As for items, we've already covered his Grimions unique ability, but he's also going to come with Electro Boost and Crossed Wires items. Both of these power-ups have electric capabilities. Both of them can zap your opponents, but the Electro Boost also has the added bonus of attracting rings.

So, when exactly will you have the opportunity to unlock him? Well, the event will run from January 9th to 16th. The third season of Sonic Prime premieres on Netflix on January 11th, so if you want to unlock him before the episodes are available, you'll have a couple of days to do so.
