This fabric design allows you a glimpse of the interaction of Mexican flora and fauna. With the help of colourful stylistic elements, hummingbirds can be seen collecting nectar from native Mexican flowers amidst tropical plants. Koli is the the Nahuatl (Aztec) word for grandpa. I wanted to dedicate this fabric design to my maternal grandpa, since he is the original artist of the painting I used to create this digital fabric design. Even though he is no longer here to see it, I like to imagine that we worked together on this project. He taught us a lot about indigenous cultures in Mexico. Rest in peace abuelo!
