One of the greatest moments of Wistoria: Wand and Sword was Will Serfort awakening his true potential to combine the power of the Wand with his Sword. During his battle against the Evil Grand Duke, Will consumed Sion Ulster's flames with his blade and turned it into a Magic Sword.
As his body surged with new powers, Will Serfort swiftly charged toward the Evil Grand Duke and sliced him in half with the fully charged Ignis Wis. Interestingly, Will Serfort's Ignis Wis in Wistoria: Wand and Sword calls back to a decisive moment from Fujino Omori's other protagonist, Bell Cranel, in Danmachi.
Like Will Serfort, the Danmachi protagonist enflamed his Hestia Knife with Firebolt to demonstrate Argo Vesta against Moss Huge in the dungeon. Undoubtedly, both these incidents are strikingly similar, and many would wonder whether it was intentional by Fujino Omori.

Will Serfort's Ignis Wis in Wistoria: Wand and Sword should remind Danmachi fans of Bell Cranel's Argo Vesta
While Wistoria: Wand and Sword and Danmachi (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) do not take place in the same universe, there are multiple similarities between the two series by Fujino Omori.
The author didn't shy away from using a few elements from his critically acclaimed fantasy light novel series to illustrate the fascinating scapes of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, whether it's the character names or certain moves.
From time to time, the manga author has called back to the iconic moments from Danmachi through certain events. One such moment was Will Serfort's Ignis Wis, which was almost similar to Bell Cranel's Argo Vesta move against Moss Huge.
During the Dungeon Attack Arc, Will Serfort and others from Lihanna's party faced the Evil Grand Duke on the 11th Floor. When everyone was at their wit's end against the monster's ferocity, Rosty Naumann dropped Elfaria's ice crystal in Will's direction. The boy picked it up and recalled memories from his past.
Suddenly, he realized he had to combine the Wand with the Sword to defeat the adversary. He consumed Sion Ulster's Ignis Rooks, a flame-based magic, into his blade to turn it into a Magic Sword or Wis. A mysterious power surged through Will as he charged at the Evil Grand Duke, wielding his sword encased in flames.
In a trance-like state, Will Serfort chanted "Fully Charged: Ignis Wis" and delivered a decisive swing to cut the monster in two halves before burning it to cinders. Will, consuming flames into his sword to defeat an adversary, certainly calls back to Bell Cranel's Argo Vesta, considered one of the best moments from Danmachi.
During a mission in the dungeon with his friends and Hestia Familia, Bell Cranel confronted an irregular type of Moss Huge. The rare monster's cunning intellect caused devastating nightmares to the adventurers. Eventually, Bell rose to the occasion and decided to try something different.
He enveloped his Hestia Knife with Firebolt and applied Argonaut's charge on them to convert it into a Magic Sword. As Firebolt's flames extended the knife into a sword's shape, the weapon shone in crimson light. Argonaut's bell chimed in the background while Bell Cranel demonstrated his move, Argo Vesta, to disintegrate the irregular Moss Huge.
Without a doubt, Bell Cranel and Will Serfort's attacks in their respective series had more than one similarity. Both moments saw the protagonist awaken a new power to save their friends. The attacks' nature was also similar, with the protagonists enveloping their weapons with flames.
As such, fans won't be wrong to assume that Fujino Omori may have paid homage to Bell Cranel's Argo Vesta while illustrating Will Serfort's Ignis Wis in Wistoria: Wand and Sword.
